Description

A fanmade homage to Fallout, set in the ruins of post-nuclear Chicago.

October 23rd, 2077: The bombs fell.

Generations later, the Windy City still stands—but not as it was. Downtown is now Loop City, a fortified hive of power and the last bastion of pre-War industry. Surrounding it lies the Midwaste, a storm-ravaged hellscape caught in the eye of something unnatural. They call it The Howl—a ceaseless wind born from colliding warhead shockwaves. It scours the ruins, carving out dead zones and strange weather systems. But people survive here. Even thrive. And someone still needs packages delivered.

You are a Hawthorne Tower Courier, part of an elite cabal keeping civilization stitched together with routes built atop the restored elevated rail network, known as the L-SKY. You were tasked with delivering a high-value package—the Olympus Disc—to the Loop City. But sabotage struck. The train derailed. The Disc was stolen. You were thrown from the tracks and left to die among the trashfires of Pilsen Ruins.

You were found by Quill, a shaman draped in vinyl flags and laced with more chems than common sense. She brought you back—body, mind, and soul—using methods that might’ve changed you. Maybe permanently. You remember your mission. You remember your skills. But you no longer know what’s right. Where you once knew where you stood, unswayed by the winds of destiny, now you feel as if your very existence is dictated by external forces.

The Midwaste will test your instincts, and the decisions you make will ripple in all directions.

Core Locations:

Pilsen Ruins, UIC Campus Grounds, Chinatown, Rivertown, Undercity (Wacker), Undercity (Pedway), Loop City, Stockyards, Naval Pier, White City (museum campus), White City (true)

A growing list of optional secondary locations will be added as players explore locations and discovery new connections or passage ways.

Choose Your Path

When you find the Olympus Disc, will you give it to your aligned faction (SIEGE ENDING) or will you sabotage it and give it to the White City as it attempts to ascend into the skies (HELLFIRE ENDING), or will you refrain from all immoral choices, and let the White City ascend without sabotage, having gained the trust of androids (UTOPIA ENDING).
