In a world where the gates of hell have opened, humanity had fought for their survival.

Sorin Alistair, the Holy Saint of Eden, had dedicated his life to protecting and guiding humanity as he was the God's chose one. But his loyalty met with betrayal, he was accused of being a traitor and treachery by the people he had trusted the most.

Despite this, Sorin desperately pleads for redemption and understanding— in a world where humans have prejudice towards other races.

However, his words fall on deaf ears, and the weight of betrayal becomes unbearable after he realized the wickedness of humanity's actions against those he loved.

After his death. Sorin finds himself regressed to the past— a time before their betrayal against him. Filled with an overwhelming desire for revenge, Sorin aimed to protect the ones he cared about... even if it meant becoming one with the demons.

The Saint, once a symbol of hope becomes the catalyst for humanity's destruction.

The story begins with a saint who possesses a heart of gold, only to be betrayed by the people he devoted his life to protecting during a demon invasion that led to the death of his friends. Through a twist of fate, with the assistance of a particular fallen angel, he is sent back ten years into the past to seek revenge against humanity for their betrayal.
I loved the way the story unfolded, the character descriptions, and the overall flow of the narrative. As another comment pointed out, there isn't much mention of a power system, but it doesn't significantly impact the story. Nonetheless, it's a compelling and highly recommended read.

The story gives what it promises. The Saint goes evil end wants revenge on all that have wronged him.
Characters are good described the motivation of the protagonist is clear from the beginning.
One problem is in my opinion that the magic system is not very fleshed out so you have no idea of the capabilities of the characters. This can become a problem in the future because this can lead to a loss of interest by the reader when the protagonist has always the perfect answer to all problems.
I can say read it when you like a story with a villainous lead.
