Description
Valerie Sherman had everything.
Talent, Looks, and Intelligence. She was the heir to Arcana Future Industries, one of the most influential companies in the magical sector of 2078; she was set up to shine as the infallible protégé of a new era. An era of magical might that would challenge the high heavens themselves and bring ruin to all that strived to be called gods. She should have been the beacon of progress.
But what no one knew, on the inside Valerie was already long broken. The medication for a mental illness that had ravaged her mind since childhood would soon rob her of her Magical Talents completely and leave her as a mere normal human. Her parents had abandoned her and most of her so-called friends were only after the fame and money.
Convinced that the entire world was working against her and everyone was trying to rob her of whatever was left, she sought out darker powers. Something that would rid her of her failing mind, something that would finally provide her with the power that she needed to escape the clutches of society. Little did she know that gifts from the beyond rarely come without strings attached.
Maybe her first clue should have been all the teeth and tentacles?

- DicordumRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is an awesome book, the grammar, story, characters, everything is wonderful, i love it
- DvaDIRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel belongs to the incredibly tiny list of stories that completely resonate with me on an emotional, spiritual, mental and physical level. The worst part of this story is dealing with the fact that only a few chapters exist. If I had to chose which novel I wanted more chapters for out of every novel I have ever read then I would hands DOWN chose this one.
- MultiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Ok so as a quick warning this is a Lovecraft style story the warning tags are definitely deserve, now if your still here on to the review
This is an amazing story the idea of flipping Lovecraft on its head is excellent I especially love the idea of

The ancient old God sending text ending with love mom and a heart
My one complain is the minor word errors, it's not a big deal but it is slightly annoying. - messschieberRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5If you read the title and synopsis and didn't immediately click away, stay tuned.
If you read the title and synopsis and became excited, then you will definetely not be dissapointed, as this story keeps what the synopis+title promises.
Style: A stronger point of this fiction. The style often quite grippingly portrays the state of mind of the mc. Dialogue is generally well written. Visual description isn't really bad, it does in fact manage to make some scenes quite disturbing(as expected of the title). I just think there is still a good amount of room for improvement, as the setting would have allowed for even more interesting descriptions. Speaking of things that aren't that bad: "This Fiction contains: BDSM - Slaveplay - Same-sex intercourse - A lot of bad people doing very bad things"(from the sysnopsis). I don't mind these elements, in fact I like them, but sometimes they feel somewhat purposefully, intentionally and inorganically placed in the story. It is very fitting that the eldritch horrors partake in these, but for the rest of the characters less so. I wouldn't remove them, they just feel a bit unnatural in their rate of appearance and way of inclusion. Just a thing I wanted to point out.
Story: The strongest point. The whole of the setting, premise and characters just are incredibly compelling. Exposition is handled really well, there is no sudden dump with all the infos, instead the picture slowly builds with details spread throughout the story in dialogues and descriptions. One point of confusion for me though is the whole bold verb thing and the leaps in memory in the beginning of the story. They stop after part 4 and they are definetely not finished (this point will probably resolve itself with the continiuation of the story). However, as we are at this point still in what I would call the introduction to the story, it still remains to be seen, if the author can build and deliver on the awesome start and premise.
Grammar: Weak point. Not that the sent
