Description
Over a century has passed since the Cataclysm wiped out the previous civilization. The remnants, rogue androids, and genetic abominations wreak havoc upon the continent of Laurentia. Corruption, magic, and old technology run rampant, leaving nowhere unscathed. Society in the settled lands is volatile, with power struggles and imperialism as civilization rebuilds.
Zeirdin lives a peaceful life in a vassal state on the outskirts of the settled lands. However, things begin to change when government officials take his father away. Zeirdin doesn't get time to settle down as all-out genocide breaks out, targetting his clan. Conducted by the Empire, the violence is not uncalculated. Zeirdin loses everything and begins his quest for retribution and justice for his people in The Tower. Sometimes called the forge of heroes, The Tower is a legendary relic of the previous civilization where dreams come true.

- PxslRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall - This story has a unique premise that is well executed and reads beautifully. Not many errors, improved a lot already in the first 25 chapters. Definitely worth a read, you'll be able to tell if you like it or not by chapter 4-5.
Style - The depth of the worldbuilding and the illustrative metaphors used to describe events in this story have a unique charm. There are a few breaks from this consistency, but that has improved in recent chapters.
Story - The pacing is well done and the story flows smoothly from chapter to chapter. I could not put it down once I started reading. However, certain spots were obscure, specifically the events during the near death experience. Hopefully this is something that will improve with time.
Grammar - Pretty good overall, with a few misused words, a couple misspellings, and some formatting errors here and there. Occasionally interrupted my flow while reading. Nothing that can't be fixed with a quick proofread.
Character - No self righteous MC, which is a breath of fresh air for the genre. He weighs risk and reward adequately, yet without possessing the inexplicable foresight / precognition seen in many "Manly Sue" characters. He makes mistakes but they are understandable and don't feel forced.
Side characters are well-developed and act like human beings with their own interests, needs, and wants. No random, unwarranted backstabbings, also a breath of fresh air for the genre. The "bad guys" aren't portrayed as inhuman, either- they also have a motivation and feelings. - SazuroiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Despite the author's self-effacement, it's a charming story that is well-edited. The first few chapters are a bit slow but it flows very well after that. Certainly worth a read.
It says reviews have to be 50 words long so I'll complain about that to make up the difference, lol. - Skyeman69Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall - This story is well executed and reads really well. Not many errors, iand most are in the early chapters. It's worth a read and has been improving with each chapter so far.
Style - There is depth to the worldbuilding and systems in use, including the magic. A cyberpunk feel in the worn out buildings and broken down androids that leaves you wondering is it Earth centuries after an apocalypse even though I'm sure it's not.
Story - Very good pacing with a story that flows along with each chapter. I could follow it easily and was turning the pages wanting more as the author is really building a great world in the Tower for us to explore. He does seem to trust people a bit quickly but I think this is explained by his "instincts" from his use of magic.
Grammar - Pretty good overall to be honest with nothing that couldn't be fixed with a quick proofreader giving it a once over.
Character - The MC seems pretty well balanced and even makes mistakes that are understandable and not just for filler. As I've said above he does seem somewhat trusting at times so far but appears to have good instincts.
The other characters are good additions and act like they should and have their own quirks and requirements. Thankfully so far they don't appear to be untrustworthy except the vibe I get from Bandir but it's early still. Also the "bad guys" aren't portrayed as the typical laughable stereotype but actually have their own needs and goals to accomplish even if it is just make money and satisfy themselves.
