Description
Albaer Babtiste Lamark is an outcast, his father is gone, his mother... well his father is gone. He has only one friend left in the world, and she barely speaks to him. His high school life consists of being picked on, bullied, and generally despised. All he has to keep him going is a video game. All he has that is... until an angel and a demoness appear in his bedroom after trying and failing to summon his videogame character as a hero to their world. Trapped with no way home, he allows them to remain in hiding in his room while they figure out what to do in a world where they do not exist. But the timeless rule of Earth is that change, begets change, and both theirs, and Albaer's life are now set upon a course that never could have been. For better or worse, they all must evolve, because what fails to adapt, must die.

- PervySageChuckRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is another highly entertaining story by Mr. Butler. His character development is absolutely superb. The plot is well planned and executed by this extremely talented author. I would recommend this and any other of his tales to anybody who enjoys a well-crafted story. I am looking forward to anything new that Mr. Butler writes with eager anticipation.
- JimbobcooterRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Look if you like reverse isekai try this out, finish the first book and you'll be hooked. Just got done with the second book and I am rubbing my hands together for the third to drop and conclude the trilogy. Protagonist is damaged, his friend is damaged, and isekai characters are damaged. Each one doing their best but singularly failing or coming up woefully short, but together there is hope for them to make a better life.
- PsychoticlittlecheeseRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Deep psychological read, Badly traumatized MC , the scapegoat and victim of his whole town finds unlikely help and friendship in an angel and a demoness that accidentally became trapped in his mundane and miserable world. They have to learn to trust and rely on each other as they mutually, and to veriing degrees, have to hide from a world that wants to destroy them or worse.
- Zhen StormheartRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I liked it a lot, really did. The characters felt different for once and was actually getting quite invested in it, crying for characters, hating characters, wanting them to overcome injustice. I'm especially excited about how some of the major problems that were described so far are going to be addressed in the future.
I'm glad to have found it. - WaryorWearyRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Premise is really interesting.
Story never actually starts. Each twist and story beat weakens what came before (unless this is some magical hellscape-- maybe a cross between Dogville and Twilight Zone).
It's glacially paced; which is punishing when so much of the mundane community/economics/logic doesn't make sense. Bonus: it's so slowly paced t that it ensures the reader has enough time to dwell on "Hold on, that doesn't track. Didn't he just say... Wait, how would that work? How could he pay for all that? Wait, what? How could anyone survive...?"
This is some Uwe Boll level work currently, but I think it could be carved into 2 workable stories. Right now, it's Peanut Butter and Shoesole ice cream with some Bates Motel sprinkles.
Man, did I want this premise to pan out.
