Everybody Goes to Hell: Progression, Exploration, and Second Chances

I died. No big deal, everybody bites the dust eventually. But, as a God-fearin’ southerner, I expected to be greeted by St. Paul and the pearly gates. Turns out, all the other gods get a say in my afterlife, and they ain't too happy about my not worshipin' them. Or worshipin' another God. It's a big Ol' catch 22. So, turns out everybody goes to hell.

Well, nothin’ doin’. When life gives you lemons and all that. I’m not goin’ to cry about the hand I’m dealt, ‘cause now I’ve got all of this gamified Hell to explore. The gods wanted to be entertained, but I’m goin’ to do what I’ve always done, help out where I can while havin’ fun along the way. And there’s a lot of people that need help down here. Some of ‘em might even stick around.

!!!There are multiple perspectives and main characters in this story. The characters will not be perfect people, and will often make mistakes or sub-optimal choices. The magic system is a heavy focus for me, but it is by no means perfect. I am a hobby writer, not a professional. If minor inconsistencies or logical gaps in the magic bother you, you don't like characters that act on their emotions to their own detriment, or you want a story focused on just a single person, this is not the story for you.
