Description

Many dream of waking up in a new body filled with potential. However, most ignore the trauma that may follow.

Evernya learned this lesson firsthand when she awakened in a hospital bed alone. Her panic only escalated when she discovered her body wasn’t quite human, as feline ears perched atop her head while a long velvet soft tail sprouted from her tailbone. If her new appendages weren’t traumatizing enough, a storm brewed within her, threatening to explode at any moment.

Follow Evernya as she struggles her way through her new life meeting new friends and foes on her quest for true freedom.

I really like this story and I definitely want to read more of it. In addition, the setting is something new for me. Especially the psychological aspect of the processing of the transported person. Stuck that in a foreign body and deal with it. The panic and the place where it wakes up.
In addition, the mysterious setting, the uncanny, the unknown, and everything around it gives the story a special note. The fact that the story is kept in a modern and not in a classic medieval style gives it a special touch.
Since I read with a translator, I can't say much about grammar or spelling, but I love the story. The many insights into the thoughts also make it easier to empathize with the panic.
I hope to read more from this author.

Everna Rising is a great story for those willing to take a chance with it.
It's got everything a traditional fantasy story needs from mysterious godlike entities, to elves to... you guessed it.  Catgirls.
That's not all!  The story has an intricate and wellbuilt world, with interesting and realistic characters, and while the plot might be slow to unfold in the beginning, the payoff is worth it.
Style Score:  Style is good. Easy to read and follow, with decent prose.  No overly poetic descriptions and no underdeveloped ones either.
Story Score:  At chapter 10, I wasn’t invested.  By chapter 20, I was completely invested. As I mentioned earlier, the plot is slow to unfold, but does so for a reason.  I know this is in the spoiler, but I don't wanna give anything away because I think any who take a chance will enjoy it.  What might feel like a long intro early in this story will be a short one if it reaches 100s of chapters.
Grammar Score:  A single minor typo in 20 chapters is all I found.  Granted, I am not the best at looking for those.
Character Score:  I liked all the characters.  No problems with voice.  I will say that I didn’t give it the full five stars here because I flip-flopped on how I felt about the elf.  I felt she didn't act as restrained as she should of.  Not to the point that I lost immersion but to the point I lost respect for the character. I wasn’t certain if that was intentional.
All in all, I think you should give it a chance!

Evernya is a visceral story which at least for me causes my blood to roil and my heart to race. Our MC finds herself threatened and beaten but because of what she is, yet she still finds herself able to smile and plan for a better future. For those whom can relate to her Evernya can be a breath of fresh air, a balm for past sufferings. I throughly enjoy all aspects of this novel and wish nothing more than for more to read and enjoy as well.

Slow paced so if you don't like those type of stories definitely a hard pass. I like them because they provide for deeper world world building, which this author does very well. The perspective changes could be a bit better done, but that's a minor quibble in my book. Could do with bit more editing, a fair amount of dropped adjectives and conjunctions, but again minor and doesn't detract from what we are really here for a good story which this is.

Five days ago, somebody on a Discord server recommended this story to me. Between then and now, I have inhaled 95 chapters of it, awaiting more to come. And not once have I regretted reading it, which says a lot from how quick I tend to be irritated from even small issues.
The story is both exciting, awesome and cute. What originally was the author giving the MC a very hard time, seemingly unnecessarily, became my by far current favourite story. The world building might sometimes be a bit much, but I personall, like it this way. And while it was rather repetitive in the beginning, it was so with a reason and improved quickly around chapter 12.
The story also contains a sizeable amount of clichees, but those are well executed and add more to the quality than they take away.
On a side note, there are some cases were the story contradicts itself or it feels like some things are a bit too easy/good to be true.
The major characters and even some of the unimportant side characters seem well thought through, giving the fiction a feel of being alive.
One example of this is how the author implemented the ex-married weapon shop owners. Little details like these that are technically completely unneeded add a lot to reading experience.
The overall style of the story is not outstanding, but very well acceptable. It sometimes gets a bit monotone, but often the small variations of this monotony made me laugh, sometimes long.
I have never before seen so.many ways to address an elf in third person." Her elfy search engine" and "the elf-shaped hug pillow" are merely the tip of the iceberg.
Sadly, the grammar is rather lacking. Typos are rare, but often, there are mangeled sentences that seem to have undergone partial restructuring, missing words or similar issues. While I was able to comprehend what was originally meant in almost every case, other people might struggle with that, especially ones not native to the English language. I would gladly offer help with editing, if acceptable

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
But what happens when life keeps on giving you those damn lemons?
This story follows a young girl who struggles with new instincts and a unique constitution that is thrust into an unknown and hostile world.
Not everyone has the luxury and freedom to make their own decisions...

I am enjoing the story and the world the author is building. The reason I gave this 4 is that the MC is constantly put in situations that cause her great emotional and physical stress one after another with no time for the reader to recover. On the plus side the author does eventually let us know at least part of why this is happening. The Magic

Overall the story has been enjoyable so far and I will continue to follow the story but feel its let down by some pacing/filler issues.
Style & Grammar - Noticed basically no issues with Grammar and the writing style is easy to follow and interesting
Story and characters- The good: Worldbuilding is interesting and really what kept me going. Characters: Evernya herself feels well put together a lot of the minor characters I think struggle.
Racism-Extremly polarised, people ether seem to be at the "not racist" end of the specrum or in the murder all nonhumans mindset. There doesnt seem to be that wide middle band of rudeness and seems to be insufficent reason to escalate to the levels seen.
Pacing- Too many recovery chapters that dont bring anything to the story. Understand that the author wanted to focus on the trauma of waking up in a new body but a lot of these dont really focus on any dismorphia she may feel, and they also dont really contain much in the way of relationship building or key exposition. We dont need to expirience every meal/bathroom break. These feel like they could be consolidated, maybe a short paragraph and then a timeskip still showing her weak after X time.
Thank you Draecath for an enjoyable read

It's honestly a very enjoyable story at the beginning. It only slowly starts to creep in that the author doesn't have any breaks on their "pick on the MC" train. This wouldn't be too much of an issue, except there is no variation in tone at any point. Any seeming interlude isn't nearly long enough to destress the story. And any seeming vindication is kicked down the road, being held off for some future point. If the author was willing to depart partially from their tone, they could add in small bits of vidication that don't actually make any change for the MC's circumstances while releasing some of the stress of the story.
The other main issue is with the villains in the story. While the MC and her caretaker are prefectly fine as characters, none of the villains seem to be intelligent. The shifter alpha is completely understandable, as it fits both as an early villain and their status/self. After that though, they come across as comically evil and imcompetent. Ch 35's introduced villain is particularly egregious. Considering how easy it would have been for him to hide a bit in the background and then come in as a false saviour, it comes across as arrogance to the point of stupidity. If you're going to have comically inept villains being in power due to pre-existing situations, it would've been super easy to add some variation by showing some of the comic ineptness, but they're treated fully serious, and it turns them into caricatures.  Something as simple as hearing comments from his minions could easily add a bit of comic relief to vary the tone. A minor issue is that while the MC's caretaker is fine, the situations keep painting her as incompetent and it causes some minor dissonance.
On to the story. It's great. It has an interesting setting, the plot is coherent and seems to be moving at a solid pace, the world building is interesting, and there's lots of fun mysteries that are slowly being revealed. If you're fine with the tone, this story is fantastic. Hence, I

I orriginally liked the mc of this story.  She is both weak and strong, and is well writen in my opinion as a believable character.  The situations she get in are rather extreme at points but well handled and thought out.  The people around the mc are a bit flatter character wise, but still well done. But then things went south
While story has alot of potential, MC is too unstable and story is turning into more of a Villianous lead type, which i usually try and aviod.  Still well writen mostly, just way too volitial of a MC.
