Of all the seasons, harvest was the most human.

Yet with every harvest, the only world Lucille had ever known changed a little more — and it frightened her. She was a journalist, a libertine of her time. Young and foolish, yes, but brave enough to ask questions about her sister's disappearance.

And even then she felt constrained as the youngest daughter of a robber baron, a man who brought the world into a revolution of machines. A man who, instead of looking for his missing daughter, chose to arrange a marriage for Lucille to gain favors within the imperial government.

Following her sister's footsteps, she runs into a world of dying optimism, her foot in the maw of fate and the still-beating heart of the mystical past.

This is an improved version of a previous work titled,Gonzo on Dead Air. Due to inconsistencies and fatigue, I decided to start from scratch and createEvangelina. This story may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I have dedicated it to the wandering souls of the world.

Evangelinais set in a world inspired by the fantasies of optimism and pessimism that captured the European imagination at the turn of the 20th century. The main character is someone caught within it.
