Given the slow nature of xianxia, there is not much to say about this series yet except it seems quite worth giving a try. The syntax and style are good (though I'm not a native speaker and may have missed something), and the direction the story seems to shape itself gives a want for more, so there is my contribution to try and help it grow. I will try to thin about modifying this revue later once there is enough to say.

Well first of all there are still 5 chapters and it is to soon to say for sure, but i belive this will make for an interesting story.
First off, the premise is interesting deviating a little from the typical cultivation novel where the character typically stays in a sect, giving a different perspective of cultivation worlds. Second the character feels much more real than other cultivation MCs, beeing more grouded and calculative while also keeping his emotions.
For fellow readers i recomed you give it a try
And if the author reads this, i will certainly await to see how the story unfolds in the future!!! Best regards!

When I read in the description that all the women that throw themselves at him are traps I expected something different. There hasn't been any women with a little bird so I am a little disappointed.
Nontheless this is a great Xianxia novel. It is a great read, lighthearted and funny. With a lot of chinese idioms and metaphors that I have come to love in my years of reading chinese WN.
    Definitely a recommend!

It's just not my cup of tea. Grammar is okay. Story has some work to be done. Like, does his powers do anything. Like there are some examples of what it does but that doesn't seem to matter. Also the fact that he's basically taken as a slave from ten years old, then works on a farm, then becomes the boy toy of what's obviously some kinda succubus is just not fun to read. He has no agency at all and that's just plain boring. For all his scheming it amounts to nothing. Yeah he gets "stronger" but it never actually means anything.

The first chapters are basically suffering porn. MC is belittled, humiliated, isolated and all of this seems to be without a good reason.
It could be said all this happened because he failed to cultivate, but he voluntarily stunted his own growth. And there's no good explanation for it.
The sad part is he's probably worse off than if he cultivated normally.
I skimmed a bit further ahead and it's just more of the same thing.
The MC himself comes off thoroughly unpleasant. Whenever he exploits a homeless kid or sleeps through a rape, or smiles while someone spits in his face. I find it hard to understand why someone would read about this sort of person.
