Description

Awakening was supposed to be safe. Instead, Blake found himself alone in a forest full of monsters.

Upon completion of mandatory schooling everyone went through the process of Awakening where they would gain supernatural abilities in the form of a Talent.

Blake was certain he would Awaken a magic Talent that would allow him to blast monsters for profit and glory.

When the Awakening process threw him into a dangerous enviroment with nothing but a weak crafting Talent he was all but guarenteed to die. Blake didn’t just survive but thrived.

For he is the Emperor of Crafting and he will remake the world to his liking.

————————————————

This is a series about crafting in its every permutation. Blake(the MC) will be heavily incentivized to explore even the most impractical forms of technology such as steampunk. Magitech exists but does not replace existing forms of technology.

Blake will be building up his crafting from the ground up which means he starts with sticks and stones and works his way up the tech tree.

Magic and casting will follow a similar pattern where Blake will start with more archaic forms of magic such as making massive totems for simple effects.

This is not a litrpg but there are heavy elements of progression.

There are stats but they are not well defined numerically and are rather a way to generally track growth.

————————————————

What to expect:

- Crafting, lots of crafting

- Tech tree

————————————————

————————————————

Updates:

- Posting Mon-Wen-Fri-Sat

- Average length of 2,750 words (~10 RR pages)

This story reminds me a bit of how Minecraft and terraria work, the progression of materials in a tech tree even though there is not system, it’s really interesting
Addressing the points another review made, the main character isn't a wuss or an idiot. He starts as a regular person thrown into a vulnerable situation with dangers and no guide on what to do, so he takes a few chapters to adapt and that is normal, that makes sense.
He also isn't an idiot, the progression of materials makes sense since he’s using what is immediately available for basic protection, people are criticizing this way too much, and without any good reason to do so
There are a few problems with punctuation but that’s the only grammar errors you’ll see in this

This is a fun and relaxing read. It's sort of like the Martian (a guy alone who has to figure stuff out) combined with Swiss family Robinson (building stuff from trees) in a forest with litrpg and VR aspects. It's a unique setup compared to similar stories for me, and I've enjoyed the first 20+ chapters. The grammar is good with only minor typos in later chapters. The style is very readable with enough description and action to keep me reading. I can't comment much on plot since it's just the beginning. I hope the story gets more reads! It seems the author has written a lot in advance too. The character is interesting so far, especially his exploration of meditation and the system. I like the mystery about advancing and the lack of information the MC has about it. I do wonder if more characters will be needed to keep the story going, and I think when he returns from "VR" there may be conflict with other people. I need 200 words so I'm writing a little more. And a little more, and again some more. And a little more, and again some more. And a little more, and again some more.

The Start is definitly a bit slow and it takes ~10 Chapters until the Story really starts, but then it slowly begins to get good.
After 27 Chapters  i can not say so much over the Story (especially because its slow), but its laying a good and promising foundation for the Book and that is a good Sign.

Some serius flaws and discrepancies between the MC's background and his behavior. A 12 year old left alone taking care of himself and going to a prep school for spirit world ends up the most incomptent MC I ever read.
Gets shallow wounds from the weakest monster which he kills with a weak kick. Afraid to go out from his "glade" for more than a week after that. Can't craft from stone because of stregth. I would understand if there were only big rocks available but apparently he used a stone to whittle a stick into a shiv. You hit two stones together you get chips. It's not rocket science. It's not even  rock science.
I feel the author has never picked up a rock in his life and the closest he came to the wilderness was watching Discovery or National geographic.
At chapter 8 Blake the MC is an annoying  incompetent wus. Will try to read some more but so far things are not looking good.
At chapter 15 still a wus.
At chapter 16 still a wus.
At chapter 17 still a wus.
At chapter 18 still a wus.
At chapter 19 still a wus.
    ...
At chapter 22 not a wus. Just still an idiot.
Gave half a star more since there seems to be progress.
Positives... grammar is readable with few mistakes like glad instead of glade or trying to use big words and misspelling them sometimes...
