To burn away the old, rebuilding it anew.Countless years ago, a terrible war came for the ancient Primordials, casting down their once believed immovable dominance and securing the rise of a new empire. The Ether was fractured, broken into numerous pieces as peace was hard-fought.Thrown into this new hectic land, Deus must come to wield an unexplained power, one that threatens both his sanity and life simply to use. If he wishes to survive, he must learn not only how to harness this strength but how to grow and expand it, altering the path of those around him. What he doesn't know is that he's found himself involved in a terrifying plot hosted by those demons of old, a game of sorts to decide the fate of Midnight.Does Deus have what it takes to survive, or has he found himself trapped in a plot he has no hope of escaping?

Having read up to chapter 5, the premise is as immersive as it is tantalizing. I love post-apocalypic stories, and this story offers the glimmers of one while still hinting at a great adventure in undiscovered lands to come.

This story is so well written and it has potential to be great, but what is going on. The author repeats some parts and doesn't explain others, maybe I should just read more but until now the MC has yet to make a move and I can't keep waiting

This story is fairly well written but.... Nothing's happening. Why does all the aliens speak English? (Maybe I read over the explanation of that..if so I apologize for my ignorance.)

Managed to read up to ch 14. Good grammar, interesting premise and world, but the characters just kinda meander about from one place to the next with nothing really happening. The people they meet and the information presented is all so vague that I have no idea what the story is about or even trying to do. The Main character's emotions and motivations shift completely from chapter to chapter. He gets sudden boosts of confidence and desires for revenge without any preamble. The story might go somewhere good, but the author needs to figure out what story he wants to tell and convey that to the audience.
