Looking forward to reading this one for a while. Came here from Fandompulse substack and very glad that I did. Great story so far - anticipating how it develops
- MC is intelligent and makes smart choices; one can see the military thinking in his actions
- side characters have enough details and life in them to be engaging, but not so much as to cause fatigue from info dumps
- great descriptions and storytelling - as with the side characters, enough life is given to the surroundings and world to make it feel alive without bogging down
