Eldritch Cradle

Under a moon that never crosses the horizon, there is a world that exists in forever night.  Creatures fight and consume each other under the rule of an AI.  This AI has a mission, to preserve the universe it rules it must forge champions capable of fighting creatures that threaten to consume its universe.  Its a slippery slope creating champions capable of fighting gods, there is always the threat of one turning against the AI and consuming its universe.

Meet Omega a human reborn as a tiny insignificant slug.  He is the first human to have his soul yanked from the afterlife and into the AI's universe.  Omega must fight his way from the bottom of the food chain and make himself useful to the AI or face a permanent death.

Who are the titans that devour universes?  Why do they want to devour the AI's and how can a single universe create beings capable of stopping them?
