- WinterwispRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5It takes a few chapters, but once more characters are introduced, the story begins to become interesting. It's basic isekai, but I think there's potential for more to come.
Style: There's a good amount of humor, and the decision to use the present tense adds a lot of immediacy to the story. I'm old-school, though, so I don't much appreciate the emojis, and there's too heavy reliance on all-caps and exclamation marks for my tastes.
Grammar: Spelling is good, while syntax is a little lacking at times. The choice to use the present tense is very daring, but whenever the author slips up it quickly becomes glaring to the reader. You can see the author knows the punctuation and capitalization rules, but do not consistently apply them, which is a shame. There's no need for perfect grammar, but too many hiccups interrupts the flow of reading, which is why I'm a bit harsh on the scoring here.
Story: So far, everything is pretty standard. Young man enters new world with strange and powers with incredible potential. Since there are not a lot of chapters, the story has not really had time to distinguish itself, but I hope to see the author play with the basic premise with ingenuity.
Characters: This is honestly the best part of the story. There's great interplay between characters, and especially the MC and his main supporter have some good chemistry. I'd like to see some more detailed descriptions, not just of their immediate appearance, but also in their actions, but it's still well done.
Overall: I can't give a great score, I'm afraid, mostly due to the story not having had time to develop much. Because of the very standard premise, I'm missing the unique element that would make me score it higher. The MC's powers are interesting, but his different shapes are only really explained once, without elaboration in their later use.
Still, I think there's potential here, and I hope to update this review later with a more positive tone. Definitely check it out.
