- Rae RaeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is one of the more ridiculously hilarious stories I've read in a long time that weaves serious and ridiculous into a seamless thread. So far, I feel it's very well done and I hope it continues.
Style score: Once you realize that Joshua chapters are all being narrated by him and a constant monologue he keeps in his head so he doesn't do something crazy, a lot of the style makes sense and it's fairly unique.
Story Score: It's just really effing entertaining.
Grammar Score: Slight typos here and there (or maybe they aren't???) and a few odd imo choices but, for the most part, the sentences are quite well structured, and the story really flows.
Character Score: If I could give a higher score, I would.
This needs to be 200 words long, so I’ll just LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA (The Lala ing is relevant, I assure you) - PakkoRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Pros:
The characters of Joshua, Erin, Bill/Ted, and the others are interesting and have fun quirks that distinguish them all from one another. Ir would be could to explore more of their motivation and goals, but it isn't a big worry for now.
I like the current mysteries and it has me mildly hooked. What are the voices at the beginning of the chapter? What might kill him or incapacitate him?
The writing is also good and I didn't notice any issues with how the story is presented.
Cons:
The first chapter was confusing at first with the Italicized stuff but it finished stronger.
There has been no killing yet despite the description. May or may not be negative.
Half of the setting takes place in school which you may or may not like

Overall I like it so far. Not all of the comedy bit hit for me but the story is entertaining. I see that the author is also a fan of Only Villians Do That, with their chapter naming scheme. I don't have any other suggestions for the author story-wise. The only thing I can suggest is to promote your story elsewhere. It is a shame that this story only has three followers at the time of this review. - TamaNzRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story is like nothing else I've read on Royal Road. It starts with a cool core concept and develops it in an interesting way.
The pacing is as hyperactive and chaotic as the main character. It very much sweeps you up and carries you along.
The prose might not be to everyone's taste but I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far. - AsvilokaRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5TL;DR: A fun read if you don't mind exaggerated and unrealistic characters.
The first chapter is excellent, setting up our main character and premise nicely. The style is personal and casual, the setup rife with intrigue, and with only minor flaws in the writing. I love the inclusion of the conversation snippets at the start of each chapter! Everything about it screamed 'this is going to be good'.
Alas, my expectations were too high. While the writing is good, the style is easy to read and unintrusive, and the grammar nearly flawless... once our MC gets out of the wild and starts interacting with other people, the characters are... bizarre.
I could call them 'anime-ish' perhaps, but even that seems to give them too much credit. I could accept the MC behaving abnormally, due to being an immortal and coming off years of solitude, any quirks of his personality or behavior make sense in-universe. But I literally cannot comprehend the motives or actions of the others around him. None of it adheres to any potential version of reality I can imagine.
Though I'm personally unable to suspend disbelief far enough to continue, I can't deny the writing and flow are good. I really, really wish I could rate it higher, it has so much potential and there's a story here that I'd love to read.
