- QuaintRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5it was going good but the last chapter I read(ch 10) kind of ruined it for me. The characters in the chapter were shallow and had no reason to do what they did, in a good book the story is guided by the characters and their actions change what happens. In this chapter the characters were guided by the story and their actions were only there to have them be beaten. Those characters had no reason to act the way they did, halfway through reading the chapter I had a sinking feeling in my gut that this was starting to sound like a cultivation novel (character wise)and that the "evil" people where there to get face smacked. He tells them to stop and then the guy yells out at him because he "confirmed" that he was evil so the mc brutally beat up the entire team, where's the logic? What reason does the mc have to do this? It just really came out of nowhere, and now that I think about it, why did they stick him in a broom closet? I'd be way more pissed about that then about a guy being an asshole. The story is great up until that point 10 just kind of bled out all of my enthusiasm for the rest of the book, good luck but your story isn't for me.
