This type of story is  a breath of fresh with it including both office politics and HOA politics which typicallly don't make it onto royalroad due to the site focus on more action heavy combat stories. The cast of charecters in casual monster hunting also have distinct personalities and built up characters.

In buddy cop movies you expect the straight man to be the family guy. He's the one that does the understandable and performs actions that you'd expect. There is a threat, you address it. There are werewolves the eat people, you go slay them. Greg Van Helsing is a monster of a man that's you expect to be the crazy one. He's not. He's the straight guy.
The crazy guy is the one who asks the monster slayer to come to goat yoga, volleyball games, or judge cooking contests. He uses magic to get juicy gossip. All the while, without any fighting skills and an irrational fear of creepy crawlies, he insists on following around someone who seeks out dangers and could probably survive a truck to the face.
The stories are hysterical and the images are bizzare. The technical aspects of thw writing are fantastic with only a couple of typos slipping through. Vam Helsing is a bit of an archetype gruff adventurer, but is not cliché. Peter is oblivious and adorable, but never annoying (to the reader at least). Renea is Peter's wife, but is a strong character in her own right and compliments her husband. She never steals the spotlight, but her interactions with Peter are adorable and the story is better for her presence.
TL;DR it's funny, it's entertaining, read it already.

I found this story to be a fun, lighthearted monster-hunter tale with cute personable characters. The monster hunting main thread is well-interspersed with slice of life gems.
    Definitely recommend.
Different points of view are used in both the main thread and the slices of life, but only one POV per chapter, and it's clearly defined. I had no POV disorientation.
This tale is well written. That said, every once in a while there's a word that's a sound-alike for the word that was intended; my instinct says that the author uses dictation. It's not deal breaking for me, but fair warning to the occasional reader who does care deeply about such things.
Give it a shot. You'll grow fond of Peter Mayhew, want more of Renea Mayhew, and waffle between rolling your eyes at and fist bumping Greg Van Helsing.

Please note that I write this review after having binged through all the chapters available and that I am very tired. I will therefore keep things brief.
    Style: Pleasant to read
Grammar: No spelling or grammar mistakes, which enhances the reading flow.
Story: There is not quite something like this that I could compare this story to, but it is pretty much like the intro blurb states it is. The title is a bit misleading considering dungeons on RR usually are more the high fantasy/litrpg sentient core dungeon types but thats no biggie. I would have picked "Monsters and Matrimony" as a title :p. The story starts quite fluffy and develops quite naturally, though I find that the way slice of life interludes are inserted can be a bit confusing, because they take place in different spots of the time axis than where the main plot takes place and that can cause one to misjudge how far the relationship between Peter and Greg has developed.
Characters: As is always the case with Slice-Of-Life-genre stories, the characters are the main deciding factor for how long the story can keep the readers and I dare say that in this case the characters entertain! All main characters seem to represent a cliché, e.g. gruff monster hunter, bubbly, hot trophy hubby, strong ceo wife, yet possess depth and traits that deviate from their classical persona. The fact that those traits are revealed naturally as the story progresses keeps the reader engaged and interested to find out more about them. I personally have personal issues with some ways the characters behave or interact with each other but those issues are more of a personal nature and not because the characters are written stupidly/gratingly in any way! Those issues are only minor and do not detract too much from the enjoyment that is reading this story for me. I find it very important that the personal flaws and actions of the characters that hurt other characters are adressed and through communication attampts are made to reconcile. Th

Fun story.  I've read all the chapters of the first volume.  I know before I read each chapter something interesting and fun is going to happen.
I've read all six chapters that have been posted at the time of this review.  I'm looking forward to the next chapter, and if the story gets noticed, I'm sure it will garner many followers.
All the characters are interesting and fun.  The story is fast paced with something interesting in every chapter.

Loving this story.  It's got monsters.  It's got adventures.  It's got gory fights.  It's got puzzles.  It's got ancient arcane artifacts.  It's got office politics.  It's got neighborhood HOA politics.  It's got Karens.  It's got naked cooking.  And bake-offs (with clothes.)  It's got wholesome walks in the park with a geriatric Corgi.
It also has a sweet married couple romance between Renea & Peter, our protagonists.  And a super well done slow-burn bromance between Peter & Greg Van gods damn Helsing, our hard-bitten 700+ year old monster hunter.  Which Renea actively encourages.
If you're looking for a light-hearted and very funny take on the monster hunter genre, you don't have to look further than this.

Fun writing.  Slice of life story.  Fusion of modern society and fantasy.  Kind of reminds me of the tv show Grimm, but more happy go lucky.  Love the side stories.  Looking forward for more from the author.
I like the episodic nature of the plot.  There is not really an overarching plot, just fun one off adventures.

Huh. Okay so I wrote like a paragraph or two about how this novel is criminally underrated and unpopular and then decided it wasn't review relevant so I tried to use a spoiler tag to hide it but not delete it as I'd spent quite a while rambling about that.
So yeah. I deleted it because I've never written a review before. Anyways you get the gist.
Dungeons and Domestic Duties is about a stay-at-home himbo, his business overlord of a wife and their gruff chewbacca-esque third wheel. The novel is essentially the love child of a unique take on the whole  'hidden world in the modern day' trope crossed and a slice-of-life comedy about a married couple.
    Style - TLDR: Fun.
Okay so I'm not a critic and I suck at writing reviews let alone actually writing anything like a novel so bear with me; I'm about to praise the shit out of this book. Wait no, books? Whatever. Anyways firstly I'm going to address the 'bad parts' or at least the less awesome bits.
Okay so now the bad parts have been addressed I'm moving on to the goo- I'm kidding I've actually got three things I'd like to mention/raise attention to. The first thing is that I've found that the supernatural part of the world isn't particularly well hidden from the mundane half as there's no Mist or no Men in Black and like the main cast haven't really had to hide their activities but honestly, I don't care. It's not a major issue and wouldn't have even been mentioned had Van Helsing not
turned off all nearby cameras and Peter's phone
in like Chapter 1. Secondly, on the subject of blue boxes I noticed there were some missing in one chapter where there should've been two. I think it was either a formatting error or my laptop sucks. Finally, the story has these little slice-of-life chapters in between the main story that use the POV's of varying characters; I love them. They're so silly and really give so much life to the world I can't find any sort of flaw with them except for the fact that there hasn't been a single flapjack

I finished the whole thing in the span of about 3 and a half hours, and i write this review at 2:47 in the morning.
I appreciate a great many deal of things about this little novel; firstly, it is a fun light read ,and that makes it easier to enjoy it. Secondly, it is alright grammar wise, and the characters really shine (as they should in this kind of fiction), but i do have my gripes with it. For one as a person with ADHD; although it is light hearted, I find its characterisation of Peter's ADHD a little too heavy handed (even if it is accurate in many instances). Even if a show not tell style was used most of the time. Someone at the age of Peter would have an assortment of ways to not only channel but almost entirely cope with the impulsivity that comes with the condition through years and years of having to deal with the consequences of ones actions. That coping would extend to words and acts especially financial ones. Triple checks abound. But otherwise it was refreshing to see my condition in a positive light and i appreciate the humorous take (even if i find it slightly demeaning at times). It is a funny and fun to read story otherwise and interesting to boot, i hope it continues to remain so. Toodle doo and i shall go to sleep now. Half a star deducted for Peterness.
