Description
On hiatus. Just have too much that happen in succession to have regular updates. will keep writing just wont be posting chapters for a while
Jade was once a human on earth, many eons ago. He died and went to a cultivation universe. Sadly he was never heaven's choosen with heaven breaking luck. He was average and bland. When his brother was shining light he was the stabling post supporting him. Many sought to take down the light, but knew they were nothing to light so they tried to take down the post.
Jade died in the cultivation universe, not without learning more than most in their billion year life times. He was not a genius by any means he was just well learned. Now he is a dungeon, with mana instead of Qi. Still he can cultivate and learn again. Who will he teach and help become a shining light
Warning I am not the best writer, and it will take awhile to build to more of an action adventure story with dungeon building as a side as the story will shift from Jade the dungeon to his choosen students
I use Cultivating Dungeon, and The bound dungeon as systems to build off of, but the story is all mine

- PeppermancerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So, most dungeon stories on royalroad suck. Let's just be honest here. They rush, they have no plan, their characters are terrible, there is no plot, etc. And the few that don't suck like "Cultivating Dungeon" or "The Bound Dungeon" just seem to stop after some time right in the middle of the story.
Right now, your story doesn't suck. It is equivilent to the aforementioned stories. You have a very clear voice running through your story, that influences your style incredibly well. I really enjoy reading about the world, the prologue was such a good setup, and you don't rush. I have found very few grammar mistakes, and it's just a good read.
Your characters is one of your best points right now. The dungeon core, Jade, has a very distinct personality. He was not a talented genius in his old life, he was an experienced old man. He enjoys perfection, he perserveres, he enforces order. I'll bring up his teaching in the story section. Next is Martin, the king, and the most recent kid. You have showed Martin to be a greedy lecherous bastard, we understand through his actions that he enjoys his carnal desires more than anything, and is selfish. The king is shown to be coniving with his advisors, which calls into question any nice thing he has done in the past. And the new mayor of the city, the scared little boy who loves his brother very much. You gave us background on him through his parents. All of these characters are integral to the story, and any minute spent with them or their prerequisite backstory is not wasted. The cast isn't too large, and they each have a clear purpose, but you still keep enough of them shrouded in mysteries for plot points later on. Well done.
Finally for the story aspect, this is your other good point. Like I stated above, nobody is wasted. You give everything out that's needed, and no more. You leave room for mystery, and don't spend unnessary time explaining things. When you explained the currency system, it was quick to the point, necessary, - SrayanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So dungeon game lit meets wuxia cultivators. Still on introductory chapters with new dungeon core interacting with very “junior martial brothers” but it’s a good idea. So far the main characters are the MC dungeon core, his sidekick (fairy), several villagers, with possible sect members arriving soon. Luckily for our dungeon the locals seem to think he is a “Qi realm” (don’t ask but no one has tried to steal him yet).
No magical beasts yet, although the fairy morphs into some kind of scary heavy metal Fae type There are personal development elements but at this early stage that’s all still developing. - cakatwooRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5the story seems very interesting to those looking to find a diffrent type of dungeon building
it's right up my alley at least - Abnormal01Royal Road★★★★ 4.0The story starts off poorly and needs an edit for the beginning but it improves quickly and the deconstruction of both the dungeon core and xianxia genres could create a gem of a story. This story has the potential to be really good.
- mattRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I loved the cultivating dungeon and was so sad to see that unfinished so im hoping this does well. Does need some editing but im looking forward to where this story goes. hoping you dont go away from the dungeon aspect
- mrttaoRoyal Road★★★ 3.0This story aims to fill in the hole left by the now defunct cultivation dungeon. unfortunately, it does not match it.
Spoiler: Spoiler
There are grammar errors all over the place and it could really use an editor. The story often breaks into long exposition with the author telling us things instead of showing us. The pace is way too quick, with too little actually happening, as well as huge time skips all over the place.
Dialog is sometimes stilted and awkward, and the characters seem unrealistic at times (an 8 year old girl is out negotiating the king; and what kind of business conglomerate assigns an 8 year old girl as a negotiator? and it was based on her inherited position too. just give her a regent then).
Everything is also way bigger here. The MC reincarnated from being the little brother of the most powerful god. (the realm tiers are: Mortal realms < Immortal Realms < God Realm; with there being countless mortal realms per immortal one, and countless immortal realms per god realm).
The MC started out as a human on earth until he reincarnated in a xianxia world mortal realm. then cultivated for 100,000 years to become a god (while his little brother became the strongest god), after an unknown number of years as a god he was assassinated and reincarnating as a dungeon in magic land. Which makes his references to video games rather awkward compared to his super long life as an immortal cultivator.
The main point of his being the little brother of the strongest god is that he basically had access to all the cultivation techniques ever from countless realms, so he can always pull out whatever technique is needed. And to say he has all that experience in building sects and teaching to justify his various management decisions.
On the plus side, he actually doesn't try to hide the fact that he is sapient (something that always seemed silly). And in fact sapient dungeons are well known in this world and even have a different term (life dungeons). With the prevalent t
