Description

This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon toslavemonster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building.

Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows)

Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world.

Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience.

Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation.

All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times.

Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects.

This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world.

Rank 2 Description: Justification.

I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries.

Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40")

Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC.

This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented.

There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone.

Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure.

I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

I like the story an you create a good relatable dungeon you can feel mature throu time. I also like that it is not overpowered but still have it own destinct way of growing, just like the many other dungeons we see it interact whit.
It have a slower paste than many other dungeon stories but for me it feels corecct since you really feel it growing

The world building was exciting to read about. I liked the interaction between the dungeons and the description of the building and creation. A very fun and engaging story to read and reread. The characters are very easy to get attached to and none were annoying. Thank you for writing it.

The ideia of the group chat is brilliant by solving a serious problem of dungeon core series: the lack of character dinamics. Sure, some stories have interactions between the dungeon and people but that kind of relation is fundamentaly imbalanced. The peer-to-peer interactions the chat provides are way more interesting.

This story has quickly become one of my comfort reads here on royal road. It features amazing character building, pacing, and ideas that are quite novel. Every chapter just draws me in, with fairly perfect grammar and writing. The world is fleshed out, and almost every event has some sort of importance. At the moment there are about a hundred and one things and ways that this story about a dungeon can go and that is absolutely amazing.

I honestly don't have much to say about this story. It was an amazing ride and incredibly fun.
    Style
The way the author wrote and narrated the story was excellent in my opinion.
    Story
The story overall was really good and fun, but the ending where Tom ascended felt so abrupt and I can't tell if it's for the sake of chapter count or somthing else but it really felt squished. I do wish we got more on what innearth did post ending, as well as what Tom did (possible sequel?), so that loses points.
    Grammar
The grammar in this story was truly pleasant however a few mistakes lower this score a bit.
    Characters
I enjoyed the characters almost as much as the story, however the underdevelopment of some side characters (Craig, Tom, the crystal pool snake turned frog lizard, etc)  was a bit off, however it was nothing to warrant losing points.
Overall the story was an an incredible journey, and the system was an incredibly complex and built out construct, that I may steal to fix my own weird dieing writing.
A note on the mana system
The mana attribute system is an incredible and underused concept especially when pertaining to random combinations, often a story may use it as little more than a r descriptor but this story uses it almost to the fullest.

After reading through the whole thing I think this story was excellent for a slice of life dungeon builder, I get the same vibes as 'Beware of Chicken' that makes it so relaxing to read. There are a few reasons why I think it has the edge over other stories:
    - No throwaway characters with investment made, each character has life and depth even though they may not be main characters.
    - There is always a constant progression and while there are parts where the MC is in danger it is more complex in the workings than a 'sudden villain' simply appearing at the roadside.
    - The author pays attention to describing thoughts, feelings, sight and other senses in their writing and ties them into each other very well.
    - It does not indulge in 'pure fluff' moments and every side story is relevant to the plot to where I actually read them not just information dumps in disguise.
    - Many stories use reincarnation as part of the story (I assume just to be able to add the tag). This sets the reader up with the assumption that they will be smarter than their peers only to give the MC the intelligence of a newborn anyway. This story does not do that and for that I am thankful.
Overall when I finished the last chapter it was disappointing it ended but I understand all stories need to end somewhere. In a way the world building reminds me of (in my opinion) the first and I think best Wuxia novel I have read Coiling Dragon. The scale grew as did the plots, scope and world building culminating in the proving of existence and purpose setting the possible stage for future additions.
The author has done a great job and I look forward to any future writing.

    Just finished it.
The start was a bit hard, I felt like there were too many details like how the core experienced with manas felt too long to me without anything else but I have grown habituated to it and was really hooked and really loved the end where their influence of this world was important.
The Worldbuilding is one of the best I found.

I gotta admit, a slight bias for dungeon core stories but I would recommend this story to any dungeon core fans out there. To me, it definetely stands out compared to generic dungeon core stories and it is quite refreshing while enjoyable at the same time.
Style: The experimentation chapters draw me in with the way it is written, it's like a sense of curiosity always tugging at me to read more of those. Dialogue is good with many different and unique personalities of other cores our mc interacts with, while not feeling like a part of our mc.
Story: It's interesting, never read a story where dungeon cores can connect and do things together. These interactions are enjoyable and add flavour to the plot. It really shows that a dungeon core doesn't have to be a god dungeon or the hardest of them all for it to be a good story.
Grammar: Aside from a few minor errors that don't impact the story, the story has good grammar.
Character: Our mc dungeon adopts a curious mindset, experimenting to learn more about the mana system. There is character development as our mc ages, trying out new things previously avoided. Overall likeable mc, 10/10 for me
To sum up, Dungeon Core Chat Room has been a blast to read, I would encourage potential readers to give it a shot. The interactions between dungeon cores are very interesting and simply fun to read. Please make more of those bonus chapters. :3

Having read the reviews, I have seen that this story is highly rated by those who entered into the story understanding what the story is attempting to be, and rated fairly lowly by the few who made assumptions about it.
This story is a Slice Of Life Story following a Dungeon Core as it learns and develops over time. At the time of posting, using very loose terminology, we have seen the MC go through the developmental equivalent of a "newborn phase", "primary school phase", and now seem to be into the "middle school phase" of their development. To be clear, I am assuming that there will be a few more sub-chat rooms the MC gains access to over the course of the story, and am labelling each new chat room as a new environment, and thus phase, in the MC's development.
What this story does, and does well, is showcase exactly what the MC is doing and going through in an interesting and consistent manner. It showcases the MC experimenting, discovering, being introduced to, and even accidentally stumbling into things that they can do as the story progresses. There is no "singular solution" to a problem, and our MC discovers and attempts several different things as the story progresses. Some of them are successful, while some are failures, and others seem successful until the MC later decides that they were only a good starting point.
But the reason for the review title is because this story is, first and foremost, a Slice Of Life Story. The purpose of the story is not to have the MC change the world. It is not to show exciting adventures, stories of threats to the MC's life, or anything of the like. It is not to introduce a new and highly powerful Dungeon to the world. No, the purpose of a Slice Of Life Story like this is to introduce us to an interesting story of the life of someone completely different from our own. Please understand this, and, if it's a turn off for you to know that this story will not have exciting dives fighting off adventurers anytime soon, well you re

Fantastic story, pacing is great and had me hooked/invested from start to finish. The world building is stellar and I could easily see this being a multi book title with spinoff series. I'd love to read more but it looks like its finished, so thank you for the wonderful reading experience.
