Great start!
Cant tell much about the story so far since there’s only two chapters but the grammar is the best you can find on here and the MC is very interesting.
the store system isn’t over powered which I really like especially since in this world there are only normal humans and infected able to be taken down by humans. We haven’t seen much of it yet so there might be skills or something he can buy to make him stronger
Haven’t seen a fic like this for the last of us before so I’m really interested to read. There arnt enough TLOU fics out there

I know it's an overused word, but this story is not cringe. The characters feel and act and converse in a believable manner. The author doesn’t congratulate his MC for every little victory. Joel doesn’t immediately trust and adopt him and his interactions with Ellie are funny. James is also just a likable protagonist. Not too angsty, not too suicidal. He feels like a dude with his history would possibly act. Overall, great work and I look forward to following more of this story.

Like the other reviews said it's a really good balance of the story and the System of the MC is not over powered.
The story has a good pace. Up until the chapter I read, the story had a good balance between originality and the author's own imagination. So far, I don't think it's brilliant, but it's really really good. But I wouldn't be surprised if it continues to progress, it becomes outstanding.
Conclusion: It's great, and I'm looking forward to the continuation of the story.

im curious if the body upgrades is the systems doing. or if the body mods are caused by the infection and the system is just managing the direction the infection takes. either way people are gonna assume his abilities are caused by the fungus. and if the fireflies catch wind of his abilities they are gonna case problems. either way. great story man.
