Description

Ty had always been poor and overlooked by society—especially female society. But he had managed to acquire a dungeon core, and was going to make himself dungeon lord to the world’s greatest dungeon, becoming rich and desired.

Only two problems. One, he needed a powerful boss monster. Two, his dungeon core was cracked.

But Ty wasn’t about to let minor details like that stop him on his quest to become someone. He had a plan—a plan to convince the dying goddess of dryads to become the boss monster of his dungeon.

This is the story of Ty, who becomes the only male dryad, his companions, and hisDryad Dungeon.

[A Litrpg dungeon lord story with dungeon building, some litrpg adventure, some slice of life. This author seems very confident with LitRPG/dungeon serial writing; that much is readily obvious to me. I’m not sure if it’s the comment sections or the direct way the author writes, but, honestly, it put a lot of faith in me that the story was going to be good---an assumption that proved true. The world in this story seems of epic, spanning proportions. The worldbuilding includes a pretty decent emphasis on the blue boxes and stats all us readers of LitRPG love, and the writing is flowing and descriptive. I enjoyed the creative take on a dungeon story (admittedly, dungeon stories are newer to me, though I am familiar with the LitRPG genre).
There weren’t any glaring grammatical errors or anything that prohibited my enjoyment of the story. Honestly, I liked the ebb and flow of the writing and the characters. Sometimes, I even got a little lost in the flow---like it was the reading of bedtime story lulling you to sleep. Not to say it’s boring in the least, but it had that feeling of an epic, bedtime story.
The blue boxes, as I mentioned, are pretty heavily emphasized---as in a lot of text to read in the blue boxes. If you’re okay with that, no problem at all there; just be aware that there are some heavy parts with a lot of verbiage in the blue box format.
I really enjoyed this story. Definitely worth a shot if you’re into LitRPG!

If you haven't taken the time to read Elf Empire, this story is a branch from that one and both are well worth your time. I know that a lot of people are going to be put off on the pacing and development of the characters but given time I think there will be payoff.
There are a good amount of subplots that play into the larger universe that will be interesting on how they play out and I hope other people like me give it the time it needs to develop.

I normally like dungeon building novels. The author has taken a different approach to building a dungeon by letting the dungeon boss do the work while he deal with the drama and quest in order to grow his dungeon. It is kind of refreshing to see that the MC is not completely in control of his dungeon. I can see where the MC future harem come into the story and glad the MC not jumping into bed with every woman he sees. Fun part is he has a type he likes but he is thrown a curveball on the women he interested in. The fact he tries hard to take in account his girlfriend feelings is a bit refreshing.
I would like the MC has a little more say in building the dungeon but at the same time like the fact that he gets to explore his own dungeon while not knowing what around the corner.
I do find it interesting that the story faces racism head on in the story with the elves vs human vs half elves and some of the hate.
overall I find the story good, would like the MC stay closer to his dungeon. Love the interaction between everyone. I'm hoping there will be forest like rooms in the future.
just waiting for the day he come home and finding hundreds of dryads camping outside his house after hearing he can help the dryads race to grow. I don't know if he will run or embrace it but I'm sure it will be fun watching him come to grips with it.
Hard part is trying to fill the review page for the number of words needed without try to reveal too much. So great story, can't wait for more.

I've worked with John on previous books before + did beta reading for this book and Elf Empire. I like what's going on in this book, it's very different from Elf Empire but retains a lot of what I admired about the world & the worldbuilding. A big focus on administration/back-end work (it's pretty cool how John makes that feel fun and glamorous) with the very detailed and well-thought out system that I admire most about John's work.

It's been a fun read thus far, and I expect it to keep being fun.  The dungeon system looks like it's going to be interesting, but it's not all-consiming like it gets in some other dungeon core fics.  I'm looking forward to seeing more as we go.
Protagonist manages to be believable - competent without being flawless, which is nice.

I've read several books by this author and enjoyed them all. I was excited to see a new series linked to the world/events of Elf Empire. This story does not disappoint. I like seeing the world and history from a different viewpoint, and the worldbuilding has definitely expanded with increased lore and development of the dryad race. I'm looking forward to more.

There is really cool world-building here, along with interesting characters and some nice dungeon-building. There is enough action to keep me interested but not so much that it gets old. The MC is great because he doesn't start off with everything handed to him and you can already see character growth, which is great in a genre that I feel is lacking in that department. I would highly recommend giving this story a read!

I basically only have positive things to say. It is great to see a dungeon that is neither OP nor trying to be overly friendly, and based on what is written so far, the progression seems like it is going to be smooth and satisfying. Some of the social worldbuilding feels slightly clunky, but also, it is early in the story and I trust that it will have time to develop, and also, that part of the world isn't why I'm here. Definitely one of the stories I'm most excited to keep following.

It's stubbed. But it doesn't advertise where to find the rest of the book. I bloody love dryads.  But I need to know where to go my friend.  It's not audible, checked. But I still want to get the book. Please update the page to reflect where to find your work

I really love the style of the Book. It is really cool that the mc has to ask the boss of vis dungeon for confirmarion. All in all a very interesting Book. If you love dungeon Books i really recommed reading it. The female characters kind feel like they cant really think and are really shallow.
