Based from the first story (Rise of the Warrior), this expanded version of the War Doctor's beginning follows his journey from the planet Karn (after the Sisters of the Flame help him regenerate), to seeking advice from an old friend, and then travelling to the very end of the universe to seek out an answer to a question that lies with deadly consequences.
