(DIS)Grace is a story about a fourteen-year-old boy whose red eye sets him apart from the other kids. Dai feels like an outcast in the orphanage, with the caretakers turning a blind eye to his struggles. He dreams of exploring the world beyond his isolated island home but is forced to live in an abusive orphanage after his mother's sudden death. Dai also finds out that he was lied to about his mother’s death. This discovery about his mother sparks a newfound determination in Dai to avenge his mother's death.
Grammar 5/5: Some minor mistakes, but nothing too egregious that makes the story unreadable. The writing style could use a round of editing to pick out these minor errors will do wonders for the story but for the most part ok. I could be better with my grammar. For me, fine.
Style 4/5: The style for the most part has a good amount of description and compliments the pacing of the story very well. However, there are certain instances where the sentence structure interrupts the flow of the chapter and takes me out of the story.
Character 5/5: The main character, Dai, is well-developed and possesses a unique set of skills that are just waiting to be explored. His reactions to the challenges he faces are both realistic and heart-wrenching. The main character is well-fleshed out and acts as if this happened to real people.
Overall the story is a fun read, and it lays the groundwork for an interesting premise. The setting seems large and I would love to see it explored further as the MC travels through it.

(DIS)Grace is a compelling story that follows the journey of Dai, a 14-year-old boy who is sent to an orphanage after losing his mother. His red eye sets him apart from the other kids, and he feels like an outcast in the orphanage, with the caretakers turning a blind eye to his struggles. However, the story takes a dramatic turn when Dai discovers a letter from his mother in the head caretaker's office, revealing the truth behind her death. This discovery sparks a newfound determination in Dai to avenge his mother's death, and the story takes off from there.
The pacing of the story is well-crafted, with a good balance between character development, world-building, and plot progression. Dai's character is consistent throughout the story, making him a relatable and likable protagonist. Narco, who is introduced as, who I’m assuming to be the second main character, quickly became my favorite because of his carefree yet confident personality. The author does an excellent job of blending the two main characters' personalities together, which makes for an enjoyable read.
The side characters are also really good and also feel real and believable. Roland, Kael and Topias we’re great side characters that made the boat ride to the mainland a lot more enjoyable to read.
One of the story's biggest strengths to me is the natural dialogue, The author nails the vibe of two 14 year old boys talking, and doesn’t try to force them into a certain personality type.
Overall, (DIS)Grace is an amazing adventure story, and I’m looking forward to reading more about Dai's journey!

(DIS)Grace is a captivating adventure story that follows the journey of Dai, a 14-year-old boy who faces significant challenges after losing his mother and being sent to an orphanage. The story is well-crafted, with a balanced mix of character development, world-building, and plot progression that kept me engaged from start to finish.
Dai is a relatable and likable protagonist, and his determination to avenge his mother's death is admirable. The addition of Narco as a secondary protagonist adds depth to the story, with his carefree yet confident personality providing a nice contrast to Dai's more serious demeanor. The author blends the two characters' personalities together seamlessly, resulting in an enjoyable and well-rounded read.
The supporting characters are also well-written, feeling real and believable. Kael and Mira, in particular, are excellent additions to the story, and their interactions with Dai add depth and complexity to his character.
One of the most significant strengths of (DIS)Grace is the natural dialogue. The author perfectly captures the essence of two 14-year-old boys talking, making the conversations feel authentic and relatable.
Overall, (DIS)Grace is an exceptional adventure story that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a captivating read. The pacing, character development, and world-building are all expertly done, making for an immersive and enjoyable reading experience. I am eagerly looking forward to reading more about Dai's journey in the future

Damned me, this story is actually good.
Alright, let me begin with the story first. It starts off with a young boy named Dai whose overthrowing endeavor is to avenge the death of his mother. (Or so I believe). The story's premise seems cliche, but trust me when I say, that this is a story you would not expect. It's a story FILLED with thought-provoking mystery that is destined to leave its readers confused. (That good confused, iykwim), and that is putting it lightly. The pacing, however more being on the fast side, didn't feel too fast. It was just the right amount of pace that most people, if not all people would enjoy. The very first chapter felt chaotic, in a good way. We were thrown right into the action after being informed some crucial information that makes it all sense, instead of mindless action mixed with a brilliant style of storytelling where the author is doing a great job interpreting their world to us through their writing. As for the grammar, i did not notice anything that disappointed me. And last but not least, very, very interesting and compelling characters. So far my favorite character is Roland, because he's a sigma male.

This is a really thoughtfully-plotted story, even from what I've just read so far with the first five chapters. I would highly recommend it to someone who enjoys adventure fiction with a dash mystery and consistent action.
The character backstories are intricate and well-planned and woven together, containing mysteries that seem to be getting unveiled over time (the kind of backstory I really enjoy, hehe). The backstories also add to the reader's understanding of each character without being overly direct.
The plot is quick-moving and consistently catching the reader's attention by adding new unexpected events and characters, which I admire. Whether it's a pick-pocketer or a gambling den, there are tons of fun devices to help move along the plot.
If there is anything to improve on, I would say the ocassional, small grammar errors. In additon, there could perhaps be more a more in-depth iceberg perspective on Dai's character, who seems very open-book from the beginning. However, that's really a style and character choice of the author and up to the one who creates the characters. Some authors like to have their protagonist be reliable, while others like to hide things about their protagonists.
Nice story! I enjoyed this read.

(DIS)GRACE is an adventure story which follows Dai as he leaves the island to search for his father and avenge his mother. Overall, its the same as the title of the review, has a lot of potential,  needs a little bit more work
Style: The overall description and the style of writing is good. It is short and sweet and keeps it simple
Story: The only reason its not a five is because of certain continuity errors which I hope will be fixed with time and editing. The story itself is about Dai who finds his mother's last letter to him. I feel like its only told that Dai was ostracized. Not really shown which made me feel a little disconnected to him. Also side note, why did the caretaker of the Orphanage try to kill a kid just for snooping into her office. Does no one care about casual murder?
Grammar: Again editing, please go to each chapter and edit them properly. In the first few chapters Daichi's "he/him" abruptly changed to "I/we". In one of the Chapters, pronouns of Narco is her.
Orion is Orias in another chapter.(This has been fixed :))
Character: The only fleshed out characters are Narco and Dai at the moment and as I said previously I couldn't really connect with Dai himself so he felt a little bit flat to me. Character interactions are what you would expect from two 14 year old children so that aspect is done really well. I hope overtime with increase in the chapter count characters will become more fleshed out.

The story of (DIS)GRACE follows a 14-year-old boy name Dai. Dai grew up on a small island with his mother, often ostracized by the other children for his red eyes. Things take a turn for the worst when his mother commits suicide, with Dai initially thinking it was because of the church's hounding of his mother for money. However, he soon discovers a letter that his late mother left behind revealing the sinister nature of her demise.
Style (4/5): The style for the most part has a good amount of description and compliments the pacing of the story very well. However, there are certain instances where the sentence structure interrupts the flow of the chapter and takes me out of the story.
Story (5/5): Very interesting. The premise is intriguing and the concepts and characters introduced throughout make me want to learn more about them in subsequent chapters.
Grammar (4.5/5): I didn't encounter many grammatical errors in the story.
Character (5/5): The characters are all interesting and drive the story forward. I think the author does a good job of grounding them and making them sound like real people. The dialogue between characters captures the characteristics of 14-year-old kids perfectly.

Admittedly, the stiff start gave me pause. BUT, do not fret, and give the story a fair chance. Most of what would have been my criticism for this story evaporates by itself once you get past chapter three or so. The stiff dialogues, the rough descriptions and the minor errors go away and the story flows rather smoothly and progresses quite quickly. Immediately we are presented with a couple of mysteries that will surely accompany us for the rest of the story, from the stranger who 'awakened' the mc's powers, to the unknown missing father figure, to the killer.
    No spoilers, of course.
Now, you can clearly see how this novel was influenced by a lot of light novels. At least, this is the impression that it gave me. The style and flow of the story are reminiscent of that genre of books, which make for a very pleasant read that's not too heavy on the eyes. It's smooth and fast, the dialogue is concise but does not lack characterization. Maybe at the beginning the characters sound a bit off, and i have to admit that perhaps the whole getting off of the island might feel a bit rushed. That is my only major qualm, together with the strange ability of a 14-year old to win at poker (teach me??)
that aside, and these are minor things that do not break immersion, this story has great potential. I will keep my eye on it and return in the future, but already there's enough material for a nice morning read.
All in all, recommended. Minor fixes might be beneficial to the earlier chapters but they are not mandatory. Godspeed wordsmith!

This web novel do have potential to become something great in the future. I really like how in this novel everything is going fast and still understandable for some readers. On some chapters maybe shown a few grammatical errors, but a reader can ignore it from time to time.
So far, it's a good read from time to time.
