Description
The modern world fell into a deep depression, and few options remained for the suffering lower class. The global economy crumbled under a growing energy crisis and overpopulation led to the creation of a virtual frontier known as Teurilia, the first full immersion virtual reality. Teurilia introduced a world of adventure and exploration leaning on human nature for greed and power. The world, built to be a realistic role-playing game offered players nearly unlimited freedom and became wildly popular around the world within weeks of its initial release.Originally intended to be a temporary relief from the real world, the world’s governments soon realized the potential of virtual existence with the release of technology to permanently transfer consciousness from physical bodies into virtual ones. Supported by economists of the world and political power from the United Nations, Teurilia received limitless funding to support the migration of millions of new citizens. Eric Williams like many low-class citizens immediately saw the potential new life in Teurilia offered and signed up for the migration program within the first week of its announcement. Eric always dreamed of grand adventure and Teurilia was his golden ticket. This is his story…

- phuang2001Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Story starts slow but starts to pickup. Interesting class choice for the MC. Nice game mechanics and normal leveling. will continue to follow this story.
- TorenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Only negative so far is the release frequency. Please ramp that up to an every other minute schedule and that should about appease my impatience.
- XodarapRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great story love how the protagonist doesn't waste time with his history of his life
- catbearpenguinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Well written and sucks you in like a typhoon or darkness from the depths of hell
- jburge1Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5High quality writing compared to a lot of stories you see on RR. There are very few grammer mistakes, world building is detailed enough to get the picture, but not so much that you find yourself skimming through unimportant details. Really like the MC so far. He is different, and strong enough without seeming to be too OP so far.
My only mild criticism is that I wish the author would put a little more focus on the game mechanics and character building. Right now, any mention of it seems more like an afterthought and not a fully fleshed out part of the story. - terrykadenRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0As another reviewer mentioned the setting is fairly typical. I've seen a few LitRPG stories with the concept of permanently leaving real life to join a virtual world. So its not a new concept, but the author does a nice job of not dragging out the introduction and moving right to the virtual game.
I like the class that the MC gets. It is different from what I've seen other MC's choose. So definite points for creativity. The MC is a likeable protagonist although he is the only character that I have a real feel for. His companion, Clarke, feels kind of undeveloped.
Overall, I've really enjoyed it so far and will stick with it. - PreachaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Decent story and will continue to read. The story follows a guy who transitions life fully into VR and manages to find a special trainer to help guide him. The weapon of choice is different to most litrpg and as at chpt 11 the story appears to be progressing well. I could go on about what I like about the story but for the sake of not gushing like a school kid, I'll just say, it's worth reading.
That said I'll mention a few annoying bits below but some of this is down to personal preference.
The first blip that jarred in reading was how the character lvl up so quickly when he got his bow. It just didn't fit well and given it was day 2 and he's already been awarded his weapon seemed too quick. It didn't really feel like he earned it or demonstrated his principles match what his trainer was after.. Also, the lack of details showing character updated stats after leveling would be useful. Perhaps this could be included at the end of each chapter?
There is also the question on skills and whether the character should have picked up unarmed skulls or bartering through his interactions thus far. Perhaps I'm expecting too much based on other litrpg but I feel that is another key bit missing for me.
My last bit of constructive criticism is the weapon magic aspect. It sounds like this should be drawing on the individual mana to power. Surely the mc should be investing in intelligence as well then to be able to power his attacks? If his starting mana was 100, I would guess his attacks cost 10-20 mana a shot . But I'm assuming his weapon isn't supplying the mana as well for the weapons as that would then make it a sort of op weapon.
Overall though, great story. My comments above are just areas to consider to help turn the story into the five star story I can see it becoming. - DromaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The setting is a pretty standard fantasy virtual world but the fact people choose to leave real life behind and permanently transfer their consciousness into the game is something we don't see very often. Combine this the main character learning how to use a pretty unique weapon style of action reads differently enough to be more entertaining than most.
As of chapter 12 when writing this review the plot is also pretty well thought out and written. No overuse of cliche grinding, dungeon delving, or crafting. There is actual adventure happening and that adventure is entertaining.
Overall it feels familiar while providing enough new and different elements to keep things fresh and entertaining.
