Depths of Promises Sworn

Before the blood of a predecessor staining Ayre’s fangs has a chance to dry, a decision is made to bargain the freshly crowned Fourteenth Vylian Prince off to a sister imperial power. Not a week’s ride by carriage away, two promising young Lunarian Seers sculpt a shared grief into crystalline implements of magic fueled by forcefully extracted emotions.

A younger Cerya laments the far reaching cost of the role she and others are born into. Meanwhile the older Theriya focuses on little beyond what keeps her remaining sister Seer safe from harm.

It is with a heavy heart that Ayre must insert themselves into the lives and concerns of Lunaria’s Seers. All while navigating expectations placed upon them by two tyrannical nations, well intentioned vassals, and an unshakable thought that their body is no longer entirely their own.

When the means and ends are decided for you, what kind of life can be claimed beyond serving as an extension of something crueler?
