Mora’s Demon’s Reign is a captivating journey through a post-apocalyptic world shaped by demons and human resilience. With its grim yet vividly imagined setting and morally complex characters, the story pulls you in from the start. A morally ambiguous antagonist adds layers of intrigue, while themes of power, survival, and identity deepen the narrative.
A must-read for fans of dystopian fantasy, this story blends nuanced characters with an interestingly developed world. Mora’s passion for this long-term project shines through, leaving me eager to see how the later arcs unfold.

Demon's Reign is a rich urban fantasy, with intense action sequences and the compelling character dynamics being the core bread and butter of this story. If you're looking for those two things, this is the story for it. The exposition may be somewhat clunky at times, but it is generally a great story overall. Moving onto the style, there is a good balance between the darker sides of the setting, the depth and humour of the characters along with the fast paced action.
The story explores many a themes you'd expect from urban fantasy, with heavy cyberpunk inlfuences mixed in with the ideas of identity and war, following Zeke's struggle with the past and much more. The neon lit backgrounds and the explosive action makes for an incredibly vibrant yet also noir-style like story with aspects of intrigue and incredibly high stakes throughout the story.
The Grammar is strong, there's no real issues I have personally found with the grammar or the prose.
For the characters, there are areas of intense layers for both complexity and layers for the different dynamics, with incredibly well written chemistry and dialogue, whilst some more agency may be provided to certain supporting characters, though I must stress that this is more of a nit-pick than one I can full heartedly suggest, so there's really no issues I have found with the characters, only positives with the personalities bouncing off of each other quite nicely.

Demon's Reign offers a fresh take on supernatural fiction by blending biblical mythology with cyberpunk aesthetics. Set in Lower Babel, humanity's last major city, the story follows X, a demon hunter whose complex character drives the narrative forward through both intense action and quieter character moments.
The world-building is organic, revealing its rich mythology and power systems through character interactions rather than exposition dumps. The setting feels lived-in, with the space elevator and stratified society serving as more than just window dressing for the action. The story particularly shines in how it handles supernatural elements, presenting a unique take on demons and angels that goes beyond simple good versus evil dichotomies.
Action sequences are visceral and well-choreographed, but what makes them stand out is how they reveal character through combat. The story knows when to dial up the intensity and when to pull back for more personal moments, maintaining a good balance between serious stakes and lighter interactions.
The character writing is particularly strong. Each member of the main cast feels distinct, with their own motivations and personalities that come through in both dialogue and action. The story takes time to develop relationships between characters, making their interactions feel authentic whether they're fighting together or sharing drinks at a bar.
While occasionally the technical terms and jargon can feel a bit abrupt in the narrative flow, it's a minor issue in what is otherwise an engaging story. The pacing keeps things moving while still giving enough breathing room for character development and world-building.
Overall, Demon's Reign succeeds in creating something unique by combining familiar elements in unexpected ways. It's a story that respects its readers enough to let them piece things together rather than explaining everything upfront, while still delivering satisfying action and character development.

Concise, punchy, and visually evocative as some words that came to my mind while reading Demon's Reign. Also, if I'm right, this story leans into noir-cyberpunk aesthetics.
The solid and grounded, direct approach aligns well with the tone of the story.
Grammar is clean with no glaring errors. Dialogue flows well and feels natural, with a good balance of action and exposition.
The action sequences are dynamic and well-paced, blending realism with cinematic flair.
X is an instantly intriguing character. His casual yet menacing aura is well-executed. His psychotic undertones are such a contrast to his calculated movements, making him unpredictable. His character is also well-established as a confident, cocky, and reckless protagonist. His sarcasm and enthusiasm for combat hint at a deeper, possibly unhinged side. Rebeca is a fiery and no-nonsense character.
Overall, the characters all have their own flavour which makes them feel so damn real.
The setting is well-established, with a gritty atmosphere. The contrast between the floating city, Babel, and its seedy underbelly, Lower Babel, gives the world depth.
The mix of body horror, cyberpunk tech, and gunplay keeps the action alive and unpredictable.
The dossiers are a surpising touch.
Overall, its a strong and engaging story with well defined characters and a strong pacing.

This story takes places in a post-apocalyptic world that was destroyed by demons and titans. The remnants of humanity have rebuilt, adapting to the new reality of living amongst these new threats. Their saving grace that now some humans have made contracts with demons to gain their powers. This has given some humans the ability to defend themselves and humanity, but it is also a curse in that humanity has always been the cruelest to themselves. By expanding the gap between the powerful and the powerless they have increased their capacity of oppression and tyranny
This story follows several different characters and their stories in this world. Each perspective expands the rich and detailed world they inhabit. Each story has its own emotional depth, tension and mystery.
The grammar and spelling are fairly good. there were very few issues to correct and the author was very quick to fix them.
The characters are well written for the most part. They were funny and have good, natural interactions. They had unique and defined personalities.
The only issue with the story is that there are a few areas, mostly in the early chapters, where the text told to much that it could have shown. Those sections negatively affected the pacing and betrayed the quality of the later chapters. That said, it was still a very interesting and entertaining story despite that slight issue.
Overall, this is a great story, and the author should be proud of it. I encourage you to read the story.

Demon’s Reign  is described as a post-apocalypse, urban fantasy story featuring progression, sci-fi, cyberpunk, action and adventure elements, with multiple characters, including a strong, villainous lead.
The story begins in Lower Babel, the last human bastion in a post-apocalyptic world. One of the protagonists, X—a special investigator for the Knights—dives headfirst into an intense action set piece that feels straight out of a high-octane popcorn flick. This gripping opening scene immediately sets the tone for the thrilling ride to come, seamlessly immersing readers in the chaotic, neon-lit world of Lower Babel.
    Style
The story primarily uses a third-person omniscient perspective but occasionally narrows its focus into a limited viewpoint. This approach is highly effective for world-building, as it allows readers to explore the vast, layered setting of Lower Babel while providing insight into individual characters. However, the transitions between these perspectives can occasionally feel a bit disjointed. Additionally, while the narration avoids long-winded info-dumping, the omniscient style does lean on it at times, which might disrupt immersion for some readers. Overall, the writing is vivid and engaging, capturing the gritty, cyberpunk-inspired atmosphere of the world.
    Characters
The protagonist, X, is a standout character, and the supporting cast adds depth and variety to the narrative. Each character is distinct, with motivations that enrich the story’s complexity. That said, the dialogue occasionally feels forced. For instance, characters often laugh at their own jokes or escalate conflicts unnecessarily. During an early combat scene, the tension is undercut by frequent witty banter—a stylistic choice that, while not poorly executed, may not appeal to every reader. Despite these minor flaws, the characters are interesting enough to keep readers invested in their journeys.
    Grammar
Aside from a few minor typos, the text is polished and easy to read. A quick

I'm seriously impressed by this! "Demon's Reign" throws you into a world that's both terrifying and captivating. The way it blends elements of dark fantasy with a futuristic, cyberpunk setting is so unique. You've got this post-apocalyptic cityscape, Lower Babel, existing beneath a floating city, and it's filled with demons, humans, and these "contractors" who've made deals with demons for power. It's a really imaginative and immersive setting.
The author does a great job of building this world, giving you bits and pieces of its history and how it works without overwhelming you. The prologue, which explains the origins of demons and Lucifer's fall, is particularly well-done and sets a strong foundation for everything that follows. Plus, I love how we get those dossiers and extra character info – it really adds to the feeling that this is a fully realized world. It's like you're getting an insider's look at all the key players.
The characters are another highlight. X is definitely a standout – he's this mysterious, almost anti-hero type with a dark past and a penchant for violence, but there's also something compelling about him. The relationships between the characters feel real, too. The banter between X and Rebeca is great, and you can sense the underlying tension and history there.
And the action! The fight scenes are dynamic and exciting, really putting you in the middle of the chaos. The author has a real knack for creating a sense of tension and danger.
Overall, this is a strong start to what promises to be an epic story. The world is compelling, the characters are engaging, and the plot has me eager to know what happens next. If you like dark fantasy with complex characters, high-octane action, and a world that feels incredibly real and detailed, definitely give this a read!

This story excels at crafting an intricate and immersive world, anchored by compelling characters and a tense, morally gray plot. The Undercity is a fascinating setting, and the author brings it to life with vivid descriptions and creative details, such as the artificial light cycles and bird-chirping broadcast. The supplementary content—character dossiers and trivia—enhances the experience, giving readers a deeper understanding of the world and its inhabitants. Cassimyr Bertold’s dossier, in particular, is a standout, showcasing the author’s ability to humanize even minor characters.
Zeke’s journey is both thrilling and emotional, with strong moments of character growth and moral conflict. His relationship with Fredric and the subtle power dynamics with figures like the Contractor King add tension and depth to the narrative. The characters’ designs are visually striking, which helps to reinforce their individuality and memorability.
However, there are areas where the story could improve. The action scenes, while intense, sometimes feel overly long or chaotic, making it difficult to follow the flow of combat. Pacing issues also arise in a few chapters, particularly when transitioning between action and exposition. Additionally, the prose could benefit from a thorough edit to address grammar issues and refine sentence structures.
Overall, this story is a captivating read with tremendous potential. The author’s creativity and dedication to world-building are evident in every chapter, and with some refinements to pacing and technical details, it could become a truly exceptional piece. I encourage the author to continue exploring this dark and intricate world—there’s so much to love here, and readers will no doubt be eager to see what comes next. Keep up the great work! 🖤
