Description
They say the universe began when The Seven awoke. They, seven humans from Earth have been transported from their homes to a completely new world, a blank canvas of a universe for them to fill with their newfound omnipotence. But they soon find they are not free to do as they wished. A being claiming to be the god of their world told them they must build a fantasy world for their entertainment.
Thus, these new gods must cooperate (mostly), plan and construct a new world, becoming the cosmogonic myth of their own creation.

- Death Threat CollectorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Judging from the prologue seems this will be a fun and not very serious story about a bunch of idiots put in charge of a world.
Then again, it's just prologue. So don't take it too serious.
I'm rating this story to help it gain some traction and will come back to it at a later date when there's more to see. - Consistent MilkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A very fascinating idea is presented here, something I haven't personally read about until now - a novel written from the perspective of the fictional world's 'gods'. Although, some might argue that various religious texts do just that.
The initial idea, at least in my opinion, has merit to become something popular if handled properly. It has refreshing comedic elements, very distinct main characters that people might easily relate to and a clear but at the same time ambiguos goal of creating a new world.
It has an informal writing style, but I don't think many people on this site will complain about it. Will update the review after I see how the writer ends up handling his/her idea. - D.PidgeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Despite being currently seven chapters long, Deified as proved itself to be a worthy story to sit down and give a chance. For even though it may seem like seven chapters is enough, as of me writing this, the story is currently at just shy of 20k words. I will definitely keep reading as more is written, and give an advanced review at around the 10 chapter mark, so I have a bit more time to better feel out the characters and the world.
- MadrasMayaviZenTalonsMurtinZRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I loved reading this!!
Amazing ideas, nice execution and good characters (I root for Damon, Loma & Rich) :)
Seeing this is the author's first fiction, am amazed.
Going from becoming gods to bursting goop monsters to confronting snail rains, lol, COOL.
The prose slightly... needs... improvisation...? It felt not solid.
I would like the author to delve more into the POV of the others than the main cast (hufolk, immortals), which am positive the author will do.
I am so excited about the character arcs that will happen once the author introduces magic into Excelsior🤤
CAN'T WAIT!!!
I'm waiting for the next chapter! - BeverlyyRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Where to begin. Okay, so first things to be noted: the story has poor formatting. The paragraphs are enormous even on a laptop screen so I can only imagine what it's like on a phone. And sometimes the paragraphs are needlessly clunked together where they technically should be separated.
Part from that: I sort of was intrigued by the opening, even though it's a generic God trope introduction, but after that the story became increasingly more difficult to piece together. It's difficult to pinpoint who's speaking, I'm still not entirely sure what the conflict is, and I'm not sure who the MC is.
Prose: So I take it the prose hasn't gotten a hard-edit. And that's fine. Write now, edit later. But it did make things difficult. Lines were clunky, there is a clash between paragraphs wanting to focus on description, action, and thought, and that confuses me. I feel the author can reorganise this a later date so the ideas and the story can be followed easier.
Rizzleritchensteineonizziism is an interesting name for a character. - ReewuuRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Overall, I think it’s a cute story. It has a couple of flaws that detract from the star rating, but overall, I find the story somewhat cozy.
Style
There are some paragraphs that could be divided up a bit more so it’s easier to read on, for example, a phone. There’s also a little bit of head-hopping from time to time, but mostly the POV shifts are done well and doesn’t jar all that much. Other than that, I’d say the style is okay.
Grammar
There are a couple of instances where this could be improved—spelling is mostly clean, but some sentences could use some restructuring and maybe a revision where the primary goal is better clarity. It’s still easy to follow along, but the flow could be smoother.
Story
Well, it’s a story about seven randomly picked (majority teenage) humans who are given the role of god and are tasked with creating a new realm. The follow-up on the premise is that we get to read about how they go about doing that, making this story into more of a slice-of-life story rather than a goal-oriented one (hence why I find it cozy. Slice-of-life stories are comforting in a weird way, once in a while).
As one could expect, there are some drawbacks and some drama because of the MCs’ ages, and they come to this world with set views on how a world should function, which makes sense—the young think they know everything, the adults think they know a little, and the old have come to understand that they know nothing. Or at least that’s what I’ve read on a kitchen magnet once. Teens are making teenage things, and have teenage drama, and insecurities, but it’s still interesting to read about.
Now, some spolery parts;
One of these teenage things really shine through in Aomy’s speech—she’s basically vies for communism to be the norm, and still she wants free will and for people to strive to evolve. This could, theoretically, work; if there was nothing to strive for and everyone didn’t do anything for their own gain. This is going to blow up big-time when it comes to th - TEZofAllTradesRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Style - Good news is that it's in third-person. However, multi-MC POV makes things a little tricky as the story progresses e.g. chapter 4 really confused me. I think all the italics are the chacter's observations of others interacting, but it could be clearer. Scary use of bold in that 1st chapter. No need for quotation marks for thoughts, Italics are fine on their own. Inconsistent paragraph spacing.
Story - It's an interesting idea that the author has obvioulsy put a lot of thought into. Thankfully, it doesn't have a typical Isekai beginning. There's comedy, mystery and a heavy helping of philosophy. The pacing might be slow, but I stress might, because the story is so unique. Exactly how long does it take to create a world? Who knows? It's not a concept people will be able to relate to easily, but perhaps they shouldn't considering the premise? I've no idea what direction the story will go in, but that's because the possibilities are so vast.
SPaG - Spelling is fine, grammar is okay, but punctuation is a problem. It's odd because sometimes it's done correctly and other times it isn't. Makes me think that the author knows what to do, but probably just needs to do a good proofing.
Character - "Rizzleritchensteineonizziism"? Really? lol. The story is character driven so far, in a good way. However, there are a bunch of them, so it's taking time to get to know each as an individual. Also, The Seven settle in to their roles a little fast, even if their under threat. This is only a problem because they are alluded to being average people before they woke up with the powers of gods, rather than typical experienced all-knowing entities. Their actions are questionable at times, but this may be intentional due to their age.
