Description

When the world changed, disaster followed.

Mana awakened, causing the planet to grow and give birth to monsters.

The survivors got the System. They were given stats, classes, and the ability to fight back.

Because of their hard work and struggle, Dylan Thatcher was born into an increasingly stable society. But now, 150 years after the advent of mana, the world is beginning to change again.

There's more mana in the air, the planet is expanding again, and monsters are becoming more aggressive.

In the midst of the emerging chaos, it is finally Dylan's turn to go through the System's Tutorial and receive his class. It's one he's never seen before and doesn't quite understand.

Deckmaster.

Where other's use swords and magic, Dylan only has his cards to fight. He must constantly play a game, juggling spells and summoned creatures, to stay alive.

In the increasingly dangerous world around him, will it be enough?

    This has potential!!!
While the start was in my opinion a little unpolished, the tutorial thing is really nice and  the group is a balanced mix out of all kimds of people and classes. At this point nothing more can be said about the story other then mayve the release schedule is nicely paced. So I really hope the author continue this for reeealy long without dropping it in the middle.
[I normally don't writte reviews because  I'm not good at writting in English and more of a reader type of guy. But rr's algorithme is confusing I thing this story needs at least (hopefully more in the futere) one good review]

Intriguing take - a class based on deck building which includes summons and varied spell cards. I really like the world building so far. Everything easily make sense and we get information organically.
An intense beginning pulled me in and now a well built tutorial is challenging yet rewarding for the MC. His class has great potential, especially for planned versatility, yet there is a large trade off with randomness and luck. Although it is clear that some of his draws are useless and not what he needs, he does end up lucky enough to make it through precarious situations. Hopefully after more development it will become clear that overcoming sticky situations will be due to the MCs foresight, observation, and growth in deck building skills and rather than much reliance on the 'luck of the draw'.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the direction this story is going and appreciate the high quality of the writing. Read it if you're like me and craving another good story to follow.

Very good story with an interesting way to mix card games with combat in a pacing that fits a litrpg story. It reminds me almost of Ratropolis, if you know the game, in how ithe MC's class plays out.

It took me a few chapters to decide that I actually liked this story. I was worried it would be turn-based and overly technical, which wouldn't really be my cup of tea. But hey, I'm happy to report that I'm about 50 chapters in now and I'm really enjoying how the story has progressed so far. It's got a unique twist on the whole system-based storyline. Most stories in this genre start right at the beginning, with Earth or some other planet being assimilated. But this one takes place a hundred years or so later, which brings some interesting growth spurts into the mix. Sure, there are a few grammar and wording issues here and there, but overall, I'm committed for the long haul and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The MC is smart and uses his brain and is not over powered which is always a big turn off in books for me.

Very fun read so far. I really enjoy that there are real drawbacks to the MCs class and that he actively thinks about situations and how to tactically use them.
One of those stories where I wish I could just read the whole book all at once. Annoyed I found it so early

It has a mc that is actually making smart decisions.  He isnt perfect, he will make a mistake. But he learns from his mistakes and gets better.
Nice world building.  With a diverse cast of characters. His deck is kinda underwhelming.  But it is a starter deck. So it at least makes sense.
So far its a ways into the story and we arent out of the tutorial.  So the pacing is a little slow.  But still a great story. Can recommend it.

It is a really good written story. Main character is not annoying.  if you like card based stories i can easily recommend it. Hopefully it will continue like this. I am currently on chapter 32 and so much so good. If writer can write more chapter in a week i will be happy to read.

I like what the author has done here with the novel. It isn't the direct implementation of card game rules on reality, but only on the one affected by the deck, the MC. The rest of the world lives and breathes as a living world would, and that is refreshing. It makes sense.
The story's opening scene does need some work, for it can be slow and seem uninteresting, but I'd advise the readers to get past a couple of chapters until the tutorial begins to get to the real meat of the story.
The author does have a tendency to ramble about the character's past in between the scenes but that is addressed in the story, and the MC is often jolted awake from his reverie, if you would, by the others around him. It's nice, the acknowledgement.
The characters are also quite well-fleshed, not bound by the 2 dimensions of their existence. There are reasons why the characters behave as they do. No one is just a jerk for the sake of being a jerk, the reasons are there, just wait for them to appear. I quite like that.
Overall, It's something I'd recommend you read, dear reader, if the validation is all you are looking for that is.

I've been reading this story since just before the hiatus that had the author gone for a month or two, and during that time I didn't forget about this story. I checked back on it frequently, because it delivered on what I really wanted from a deckbuilding litrpg (which sadly has to call itself a card-based litrpg to differentiate itself from fake-deckbuilders like All The Skills) and it has to continued to deliver now that the author is back and keeping up a very impressive update schedule.
The main character (Dylan) is a person with faults, makes mistakes, and most importantly I'm convinced that the reason he spends so much time musing on his cards isn't because this is a litrpg about cards and instead is due to him being that kind of person. This helps immensely with immersion, and because so many of his decisions are founded in his character rather than simply being the optimal thing to do, I can see myself making different decisions in his shoes and wonder at the possibilities.
I also enjoy the world a great deal, which is one that is clearly well-thought-out beyond the immediate things we are being shown moment to moment. I'll admit, the exposition can run long and that may be a problem for some people but its simply the kind of story this is (and the kind of style the writer has and does well at) and at the very least it is always exposition that provides new information rather than repeating itself constantly. I find it captures my imagination, and the length of a section of description might be long enough to take note of but is rarely enough to harm my experience. Because of the amount of words used at a time, the story can be rather slow. You may notice that it took a little over thirty chapters to cover the first dungeon. That's because a lot happens in the first dungeon, but its also a consequence of the writing style. I happen to enjoy it, but it isn't for everyone. I will say that the main plot, what we've seen of it so far, has the potential to be ver

Interesting story so far, with a fun concept behind it. The start is a bit unpolished and a few of the tutorial chapters are a bit info dumpy, which makes sense considering it explains the rules of the cards, but still.
I think the story will hit its stride once the main character is out of this first dungeon. Its fun and necessary to learn how to use his power, but I'm excited for him to begin to interact with people and the world outside of this isolated tutorial.
