DEADCORE [LITRPG, DUNGEON, PROGRESSION]
Community Rating
Description
Power comes from the dead.
A blast of radiant destruction rolled on Earth… and at its twilight, the[System]took its denizens away.
Instead of certain death, the denizens became drifters; enhanced beings robbed of their homes, forced to live a life they never dreamed about having. Their eyes opened to a world rife with perils and opportunities, forced to either grow or perish under the system's rules. An absolute subjugation; one where even Gods couldn't interfere against. Nobody was exempt from this rule...
Except for one.
Frail, however, became something else. Anentity. A stranger in everyone's eyes—toeverything—even to himself. His human desires, needs, and dreams, went mute, replaced by an overwhelming sense of emptiness. A vacant heart that gnawed for something... an abstract concept he couldn't realize with stunted thoughts alone.
What was his purpose? Why was he...him?
Would the Entity become the drifter's ally? Or perhaps, their worst adversary?

- Abomb1723Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is such a refreshing read and done well. It’s a new perspective on system LITRPG’s that is so cool to read and the character and his mental development so far have been interesting to follow. I have high hopes for this series and am excited to see where it goes. The story also does a good job of providing a direction to the story where you can see how the plot will pan out from a broad perspective for the next chapters and it is not jumping from one point to the next.
- EsZeusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far I am enjoying the story wholeheartedly! It's refreshing, the MC is rational and logical, the narrative is well done and overall it's a good pacing and well written excitement curve.
Overall this is a typical dungeon core story, with some twists and unique features.
You should give it a try and read it yourself. I liked it a lot, and can just approve it.
Sadly, there are not many chapters out yet, but the potential is there for a lot more to come.
[Edited & Written more] - BrokenBulb65Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Interesting story so far, and scratches that crunchy LitRpg itch. Some have expressed dissatisfaction with the MC being forced into the servitude of a god, but said god's only demand is to fight the chosen of another god, which the MC would have had to do anyways, so it isnt that bad; no stripping of free will or being forced to do too much the MC wouldn't do otherwise. The grammar could use some work though
