Dead Man's Crown

Valen Dray died choking on gas in his apartment. He woke up choking on ash in a burning city he didn't recognize.

No memories of how he got there. No skills to survive in a world where monsters destroy villages and the empire has abandoned its people. Just the clothes on his back and the desperate hope that he can figure out what's happening before something kills him.

Valen quickly learns the rules of this brutal world: Fight or die, and survival is the only currency that matters.

But something is wrong with him. Something changed when he crossed from one world to another. He can feel it, like an itch at the back of his mind that won't go away.

In a world where power comes from mastering aura, magic, or lifelong training, Valen has none of these. He's weak, untrained, and completely out of his depth.

He'll have to figure out what he's becoming fast, because in this world, the weak don't last long.

Thanks for checking outDead Man's Crown! I wanted to give you a heads-up about my update schedule. I'm a slower writer because I'm relatively new and I prefer taking my time to craft each chapter properly rather than rushing through scenes. Quality over speed is my approach.

New chapters will be posted weekly, (Sunday 6pm UTC, except over Holidays).

I know weekly updates might feel slow compared to some other serials, but I want each chapter to feel complete and polished before I share it.
