Dawn Weaver - a tale of Dragon Riders
Community Rating
Description
An ancient evil stirs in the kingdom of Avaraline, and the fate of all life in a world blessed by magic hangs in the balance. The Guilds and Clans, who hold the power of the lands, are ill equipped to deal with the unknown threat, with corruption spreading through their ranks.
Not that this is of any consequence to Izen, a young man struggling to survive in a dying village, and Myne, a talented young Dragon rider seeking to prove herself. That is until the infamous Witch is sensed near his village and Izen becomes intertwined in world of the Dragon riders. Literally, with the magic awakening in him too. The complication, is that only females can be riders.
[The first half of chapter one desperately needed an update to fix some issues and match my more recent writing style, and this has now been done. The rest of the novel will not be changing (apart from some minor edits). A.k.a, it is all good to read as is :)]

- EvanarRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Gender Bender.
Expected the male lead to become an exception to the in-universe rules, got a gender bender. Probably my fault for having expectations.
Writing is decent enough, could use a bit of editing in the shape of certain paragraphs being too long and too much description on certain things that don't need describing.
First chapter has a weird tendency to put certain words & terms mentioned for the first time in italics.
Give it try if you don't mind about a gender bending MC. - Foxbat40Royal Road★★ 2.0This book has many "Sexy" female characters but very little romance. Instead you get lots of fighting and very little plot or character development.
Lots happens off screen so to speak. A lot just gets glossed over by the author and the terms used are thick and fast. So much so that the book can be hard to follow at times.
Full of tropes and very little original thinking. I regret the time I spent reading this.
