Twenty Years ago, The Global World Network launched, an initiative to create a new and advanced form ot network, adapted by all technology and usable by everyone, and creating an entire new system. It would help bring people together, and open the possibilities for humanity. Billions celebrated its launch, with major expectations.
And then, on January 1st, GWN Launched, and everything changed. The moment it was let out of the box, it could never be put back in. The world changed in such a way that few believed could even be possible. Strange digital lifeforms were created, but many of them ended up being Viruses, which caused destruction and chaos. Certain skilled inviiduals were capable of making Programs that could have massive effects on the real world, and create things that were thought to be the realm of fantasy and magic. And an entire world, parrallel to earth, was created, called the Cyberworld.
And the Cyberworld would automatically link to all devices, including essential ones, and was everywhere. To disable it, one would have to shut down all electronic devices, all machines, all across the world and more. Even the moon and mars, which had just established colonies, were affected by the GWN, so even going into space, it would still be there. And perhaps affecting the electrical brainwaves of those born after that day, but children born would have a slightly better understanding and perception of the viruses and Cyberworld, how to access them, use them, and such. A skill that must be honed as a child or one might grow out of it, these children began to prove to be a source of hope in this new world.
And among them, occasionally those were born with a special connection to the Cyberworld. They could enter it with their flesh and blood bodies so easily, and had even more ability and access then others. And to them, the Cyberworld was both a place of wonder....and danger.

- AsvilokaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Cybeworld is a tricky project to pin down, because it is quite unusual in execution (at least in my experience). The name is apt, because it isn't really about any one individual or group, but about the world - universe even at times.
Each chapter reads like a short story that is impactful on its own. Some are dark, some are sweet, some are full of fascinating worldbuilding; it's a lovely mixed bag as far as what you'll get.
The author is a dedicated writer who's been active for a long time on various other platforms, so I have no fears of the story being dropped or abandoned even with the updates coming a bit slower than I may prefer.
The 'main story' is unknown at this time, but there are hints of things connecting in the background. I can only imagine that when it all comes together it'll be magnificent... but since we're not there yet, I've only given 4 for story. Not to say that the individual stories aren't excellent on their own, but I do feel like once the whole thing starts to coalesce it'll be even better.
Grammar is excellent, I've not found any mistakes that I can recall.
Characters are all distinct and three-dimensional, with very different viewpoints from each other and their own lives to live. In a way, the whole story is about the many distinct characters, as it introduces each on their own merits living their own life, and how they may come together in the future is unknown.
But by far my favourite part is the worldbuilding. I'm a sucker for advanced fantasy, and cyber-necromancy, cyborg zombies with raptors, aliens mixing with mages and dragons, with ships and computers and everything in between. All of it teased out with beautiful confidence through the little focused stories of these individual characters.
I could go on, but I'm behind schedule on my own writing, so I'll leave it at this. Cyberworld is an awesome beginning to what I'm confident will be an amazing universe-sprawnling fantasy scifi epic. You heard it here first. xD - BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It just felt like I was cosntantly getting thrown around while reading this, made to see the world from a new pair of eyes in a whole new way. I mean... I won't say I hated it, because the style of doing so did cause quite the perspective on the frabciated world, yet it was still pretty jarring to get used to.
And I am still not that sure if I understand what will happen in the future yet. Sure, this might just be due to me only reading the first few chapters, but there is still so much more that confuses me. But in a good way. Very good way.
4.5/5 from me.
