Description

Tilvrade is born into a family of country nobility.

A baby with vague memories of another world, he begins his life trying to come to grips with the world he is in now, while fitting into his household's lifestyle and maid's loving attentions.

Soon, shadows of intrigue, creep out from the capital of the kingdom and disrupt his day to day. Revelations of odd vestiges of a civilisation spark memories of who he was.

Cover is a work by a great artist called madimb. You can find the full imagehere.

Read if you enjoy reincarnation plots, medieval fantasy and a slow developing negative protagonist.

Don't read if you like fast developments and action. This story is overly detailed and not for everyone (The MC is still not a teenager as of chapter 40, if that gives you a hint of the pacing...)

Every now and then I get frustrated with Royalroadl.  I like stories of heroes collecting powers and getting stronger, I like magic and battles, I like Litrpgs.  But many of the stories use the action and magic to hide the poor character building and a lack of personality.
Pimelea, your story is a breath of fresh air to me.  It is well done, with well made characters, and a story i find truly compelling.  It does not take shortcuts to create another villain around every corner, it is fun characters in a compelling world that that I love reading.
What I'm really tryiing to say, is Thank You.

Excellent in every way. Incredible immersion and a level of realism to rebirth that hasn't been explored yet on RRL.
Too short, though. >.> (pls keep writing)

Wow im loving you story. Its enaging the story just sucks me in. Its a bit slow but that works well with the plot. Im at chapter 13 and i honesty just can't stop reading. Keep doing what your doing cause your boss.
Its got mysterious theme about it. Its funny and serious and the world building is solid.  Characters are well thought out and not just a prop in the background.
Some of the titles are hard to understand but i believe it is like this so when the mc grows up he learns more stuff thus us the readers learn more as well.
Keep up the good work 👊

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, and binge read all 52chapters (so far) all in a day. It is honestly one of my top reads on this site. The character development from the beginning is so artfully done, and the story hooked me.
It is just a shame Pimelea is on hiatus, as I would love to continue reading it, hopefully you return soon.

    Minor spoilers ahead
This story is a terrific slow-paced fantasy story. It avoids all of the traps that many slow-paced works fall into, keeping you immersed and entertained even during the most mundane of events, which contrasts very well with the more action-filled parts. The protagonist isn't born as a fully developed adult in a baby's body, but rather sees the memories of his past in infrequent visual hallucinations, keeping an air of mystery around his origins and past, and granting the story a sense of higher stakes and realism that normally isn't present in RRL stories. The world, unlike many anime inspired fantasy worlds on this site where everything is clean and everyone is beautiful, is similar to that of The Witcher, with a realistic medieval setting, complete with filth, rotting teeth and superstitious cruelty, and magic is a relative rarity due to its inherently toxic nature. Do NOT expect an OP protagonist, as this isn't your average RRL wish fullfillment light novel rip off, but a solid fantasy tale that wouldnt seem out of place beside professional fantasy books on the fantasy isle in a bookstore.
In short, it is one of the best fictions on RRL, and certainly one of the highest quality ones.
a MUST READ for any avid fantasy reader that has grown beyond the trappings of wish fullfillment and self insertion.

A great story that reads more like a traditional fantasy novel than your typical fare on this website. Excellent characters, style and grammar, with enough intriguing ideas under the surface to evelate this story from good to great. Hope this story gets more attention.

While good it's very slow. I feel the author is doing this to get the magic out of the way first and to get us familiar with the Mc's past life. Also it drives us to see the mind of a true baby. Their brains aren't fully developed so this could be the closest to reality in a story I've seen.
The mom and maid play an important role, while the father seems to be a little left out at the start. Basically normal behaviour for babies. I think the authori s familiar with babies.

Enjoyable story with decent pacing. The plot and acrion is more based on politics, plots, and intrugue from the understanding of a smart child. But by no means is he surrounded by plot armor or the overpoweredness seen in most rrl fictions. He is strong for jis age, smarter than anyone his age, but emorionally, mentally, and physically limited due to his lack of growth. Which means he is limited just like everyone. Which means it is easier to empathize with him. The backround characters are superb and have a life and motivations of their own seperate from the mc. The worldbuilding is well done and the writting is above par!

As other have said, this story is slow paced.  It is more like a more traditional fantasy novel.  In 25 chapters the mc has barely touched magic and the author spends most of their time describing other things.  I kinda wish more time had been spent on magic, but thats my taste.  Writing technique begins good and only gets better as the chapters progress.  The author is activly editing old chapters which is unusual in my expereince.  The mc's backstory seems well thought out as well as his new world.  For me, the amount of new words the author uses is a bit much and I would prefer unimaginitive words like baron etc. rather than coined words that mean similar things but are confusing... But again that's personal preference.  I look forward to how this story developes, especialy in terms of the mc's growth in magic and martial arts.  Looks like the author is setting up some pretty complex political plot stuff which aint my cup of tea usualy, but we'll see!
The author's use of description is beautiful I must say.  Especialy in late chapters.  The chacters could use a bit more depth, but are defenatly miles beyond many on RR.  I would like to say more character traits and ecentricities though.  I think the author is trying to make this so realistic that they are overlooking the ability they have to add quirks and weird things to characters that might not really exist in real life that much.  That is, to make characters more dramatic than real people ought to be.
This is defenatly one to keep an eye on.  I will.  Thanks Author-san!

It had a good start but never really went anywhere. The pacing was slow and it was basically a daily vlog of a child with schizophrenia. There were a couple time skips, but never anything exciting happened.
Other than that, the writing seemed pretty decent, with few-none grammatical errors and correct sentence structure.
