- KrimetyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I’m really loving this story and am really interested to see where it is going.
Characters pull me in, and there is enough happening in the background to leave you in suspense.
Keep it coming! - SlizeerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have seen this trope before, but not in this way.
(This spoiler pertains to stuff in the first book)
Having the post-apocalyptic 'outside' be a hard to reach place within the game is a very engaging concept that has been excecuted perfectly
I also really like the interaction between the players (both main and not) and that not all the people are just automatically nice to the main group and there are giant obsticles that are progerssing as the books pass, but still aren't resolved (Which makes sense seeing how big they are). - tarakisRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Real good read, fast paced and very enjoyable.
- IsrafilRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is one of the better works in the genre, practically required reading in my opinion. Well worth the money. I can't WAIT for book 4 to start, though I'd prefer if the ending were a little less cliffhangery... knowing that the continuation will be in the next book and how writers tend to write what is likely to happen I doubt the 4th book will conclude the current antagonist's arc in the beginning, meaning a much longer wait for that enjoyment.
- funkyguy09Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's actually a decent read, im at chapter 30 at the time of writing this.
All the other reviews looked fake to be completely honest haha, all of the titles were one word and felt like bots but honestly this story is actually really good, a lot better than i expected.
Style -
The flow of the story is really good, it has a nice pace that's realistic but doesn't feel like a snooze fest either, i've also never felt too overwhelmed by the monster drops, exp rates or his skill list and character sheet like i have done in other stories where the author instantly starts the protagonist off earning tens of thousands of exp every chapter and with skill lists which could make a chapter a 1000 words by itself. It's pretty tame in that regards.
Story -
The plot at this point is actually really good, the world building is quite substantial and the author has done a very good job showcasing the world in all of it's inglorious luster. At this point in time the pace of the story feels like it's picking up a bit now with more plot threads opening up, however i feel like if the big thing he's currently worrying about - to do with his brother - ends im not sure what other things the author has in store but it feels like it could easily end very abruptly. Just know that the plot so far does seem very enticing!
Grammar -
4 and 1/2 stars, i haven't noticed any grammar mistakes so far but i think the only way you can get 5 stars is if you use advanced literary devices Anyway the grammar is superb and it will allow you to stay thoroughly invested in the story and the world around it.
Character -
Okay, seriously, these characters are so bloody well done it's ridiculous! The characters and the way their back stories are set up and just how the author writes them, this feels like a professional job! Really well done to the author, go a bit further with the mother though maybe, i hope she dies (not in a vindictive way) and i care enough about her character to make me feel legitimate sadness. - ApotheosisRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm not one to review often so I'll keep it short.
This is largely VR at this point, and as someone who does not generally enjoy VR stories I was extremely surprised with how much I enjoy the story. What really does it for me is the fear that comes with death - having loot stolen, levels lost while being unable to reclaim it easily. For those of you who prefer fantasy for hvingactual life and death consequences I recommend this as a bridge between that and VR.
Story is well done, we have an overarching plot that is left mysterious with a few clues peppered throughout, as well as a bunch of subplots that keep you interested. Romance is present and is a pleasant side plot, I don't feel it detracted from the story at all. My one gripe was his levelling speed, I can understand killing things at a much higher level than himself might make it go quickly but it feels too fast at times...nonetheless this does push the plot along so it is easy to let slide.
This review was written as arc 2 has just been released, and I must say the second arc has me even more excited than the first.
Obligatory grammar statement: is good :D

*Hot girl shows off title in sparkly outfit*
Let's get right into it. I really enjoy this(these) novel(s). It manages to be fun and not take itself too seriously while at the same time having a pretty damn serious plot. I really enjoy how the author has fleshed out the world so far, and am looking forward to hearing more backstory to the post-apocalyptic world that he has created. Another thing I would like to acknowledge before I move on is how willing the author is to accept criticism and work with the readers to formulate a story that, while still in his vision is definitely a cut above the competition.
The grammar in this story is not by any means perfect. But it is certainly WAYYYY WAYYYYYYYY above this site's standards. (That is of course if we're counting the thousands of non-native English speakers who write in what I call "Engrishu".). The author's style is something I enjoy but, not something I really notice all that much as I immerse myself in the story.
Now onto the characters, which are in my opinion the weakest link in the story. The characters are not bad by any means. I just have a personal problem with how some of the characters act and sometimes feel mentally younger or older than they should be. Especially our main character. I do however understand that it is the author's choice on that matter as well as the factor of how sheltered some of the characters seem to be. (as you would if you lived underground your whole life.)
To wrap things up, I have very much enjoyed reading this and look forward to much more.

*Girl in sparkly outfit shows off car* - Dorothy RobertsRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The pace of the story is outstanding and the characters are fun and interesting. The editing must be done after posting, which is understandable.
Overall, the added mystery at the end of book one and continuing through the published books, is a great addition to the pace. You already want to keep following the action, you want to know the answers to your questions and the pace keeps up with this.
Maybe a bit of lull in the third. I think the setting called for it and the mystery only hightened by the waiting. - ArkkRoyal Road★ 0.5Seems okay, but I can't really say it's good when it's not really here in the first place. Maybe it was okay for those that came here earlier and could read it, but that is no longer the case. At this point you could just take it down. I know it would bother me if bigger publishers did this.
