- ChappyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Well written, well paced, grammar appears to be in order and characters feel real and not scripted. At least you had me absorbed in the story from chapter 1-20 without me noticing anything abnormal. Well done!
- ZekRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story is a very good and solid choice for what to read if your bored on a weekend or at 3'oclock in the morning when you should be sleeping, it's just complex enough that it keeps you interested but not so complex that you need to dedicate your entire brain to reading it.
Grammer is great for a royal road novel, I'm sure a really nit picky person could point out quite a few errors but for this site the nice sentence structure and flow was a relief.
In my eyes the weakest point in the novel is the MC, he was portrayed in the first few chapters as a slightly broken but battle hardened soilder, this rapidly and unrealistically changed and now the MC is much more layed back and more crazy than broken.
one last little note to put in here, there was one chapter that slightly put me off this book, I'm not going to mention why here as it is not really the authors fault but rather my own world-views fault but I felt like an unneeded set of details were inserted into the book in order to encourage a personal view. This note is mainly for other readers, just keep reading, as I said it doesn't come up again so if you just keep reading you don't have to worry about it lol.
all in all I highly recommend this as a casual back burner read for a day when you have nothing else or are looking to start a new novel.
