Disclaimer: Author is an author friend.
Cultivators travel freely, roving through the town.
Behind them lies in ruin. They had to burn it down.
For the path to greatness comes from deep within,
requiring the strangest things, like the burning of an inn.
Hong Yu looked at the noodle shop, or what now did remain.
Ash and soot were everywhere. While an old man stood in pain.
"Can you fix our shop up? There are many mouths to feed."
Hong Yu nodded and then turned. He'd fix it with great speed.
Finishing rebuilding, he turned and cracked a smile.
Then a wave of fire hit, ruining his style.
So he cracked his knuckles and took an ancient stance.
Noodle shops need heroes and protection on this land.
Join him on his journey to save the noodle shops.
The tale will leave you chuckling, giggling without stop.

Classics of Noodle Shop is a lighthearted story following Hong Yu on his quest(work?) to repair noodle shops.
The story plays with the idea of making an absurd xianxia world more real not by removing the illogical parts but by counterbalancing them by other absurd mechanisms. For example if noodle shops are periodically destroyed then there is some organization fixing them.
    The good.
The story has an interesting premise and clearly the author is no novice. Although it is still early the protagonist is likable. And despite the constant destruction caused by cultivators the world feels carefree and tranquil giving the feeling of a Ghibli story.
    The bad.
I dislike the style of writing, the constant “interludes” from the author or other characters (pot/kettle etc) is frustrating to read. And frankly speaking the cartoonish cultivator antagonists become old very fast.

This reads more like a loose anthology of xianxia trope based comedy skits than a single coherent story. It is also trying really hard to shoot for clever prose with a lot of hyper self aware referential “wink to the camera” razzle dazzle. That might appeal to you or it might not. Personally it got old for me very quickly.
