Once there was a war that engulfed the continent, and that war was won using the power of theBridges.These teams of two, aBatteryand aProjector,draw magic power from one and exert it onto the world through the other. Where a regular soldier needs a knife, needs a gun, needs a rifle; a Bridge Team requires no such weapons, as their power is the power of nature and reality, and that power won the war. Two men from the far west - unaware of the recent history of the continent - arrive on its shores and risk exposing its fragile unity. They do not bend to the would be powers that now control this part of the world, and with that they show that others need not be controlled either. It's not their wish to cause trouble, no, but their way of life is trouble enough. They would travel ever eastward, quiety and unhindered, if not for their own special quirk that draws unwanted attention: a power without a voice.
