Chris wanted to be a hero. To save people. His Goddess had different plans. In the world of Etherland, there is no king to greet him, no bad guys to vanquish and no damsels in trouble. In fact, he is the villain. Or rather... Calamity.

Thrown into a world where his mere existence is a sin, a place ruled by a game-like system of levels, stats and skills, Chris should fend for himself with nothing but grit and unlikely allies. Allies that, if given a chance, can kill him sooner than monsters will. And some of themaremonsters.

Being dealt seemingly the worst hand ever, can Chris survive the perils of his new reality or will he fall to the world that wants him dead? Can he grow to his full potential and face the strongest beings of Etherland? And, most importantly, can he keep clinging to his ideals when faced with choices the darkest shade of gray?
