Overall: A fun read that reminds me of a zany cartoon!
STYLE: Bombastic, energetic, and off the walls! Everything is well laid out, well described, and appropriately kooky. It leans into the darker at times, but it never falls into the trap of being overly edgy. There's always a gag or joke ready to bring the tone back around to the hilarious. Finally, as a more personal take, I want to highlight just how much passion I can feel radiating from this story. You can tell that Pianos puts a lot of heart into every chapter, and I respect that deeply.
STORY: Straightforward and always pushing ahead, just like following a treasure map. There's frequent locale changes, new characters being introduced, fun situations, and even some exciting action! From the first few chapters you can already tell you're in for a grand adventure!
GRAMMAR: There's nothing major that'll gum up your reading, though there's a few misplaced commas here and there. I think that a little cleaning up would make this story absolute gold.
CHARACTER: Everyone is so concrete in their personalities you'd think they'd sink a ship. Pianos does a stellar job creating an interesting and varied cast that you'd be hard-pressed to forget. Be it the plucky Chloe, her frequently meddling demon Rosemary, the foppish Ramone, or the beautiful Monica, everyone gets their time to shine!
