Description
Jareth Bowie is just a normal boy with a couple of neurodivergent quirks and anger issues growing up in Ontario Canada, passing through teenage years filled with video games and comic books driven by the amazing reality of growing up inside the Marvel Comic universe, he grows up and becomes a soldier to turn his unusual strengths and urges to help protect people and become the good man his parents tried to raise him as, not the monster he always feared he was.On the day of his first airborne jump, the truth came to claim him. He was a changeling child. A goblin left under fairy glamour to balance the human child stolen away by the cruel elf lords, because the scales must always be balanced in that realm. That baby had now died, and now a fairy life must be taken to balance the scales. Fairy called him home, and a fairy knight came to take him back.Jareth refused. The knight that came to claim him died trying to take him back. Now Jareth, a goblin in the Marvel universe must strive to become either the man his parents wanted him to be, or the monster his nature needs him to be. Possibly both.

- GlendstormRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Very unique and powerful story. Not for the flowers and rainbows crowd. This is the rise of a King, not the struggle of an uncertain hero complex looking for validation at every turn.
Do not go into this looking for mercy and inner peace. Kingdoms rise and fall at the death of thousands. Heroes leave all their allies dead in their wake.
Love it! - QuietsailorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The hero is a character that is normally on the side of evil, yet he was raised by good people so he has a moral code. It's a very interesting twist on the modern super hero style stories. I would suggest reading the author's other story here on Royal Road as well. Both stories main characters should be villians in the normal run of story telling yet the stories are so well written you understand and root for them.
