Being a Dungeon is hard, parenting is harder.

In the Epoch of Myth, when Mailon still roamed, and Eli'in was yet built. Before the Ents left Ridoum, when forests still grew upon its land. Before the word Dungeon was known to describe them, a race of crystalline summoners emerged from the system.

Catacomb is the second born of Bastion, the Firstdungeon. His sister Labyrinth had long since populated Ladora with her spawn, and Litone, the domain of his father, is covered with his siblings and nephews. He had been alive for nearly three hundred years and hadn't yet expanded his line. Something that isn't his fault mind you! If it wasn't for the Bipeds that constantly attack him, he would've found a safe place to set a young core centuries ago. But he doesn't want his child to just die instantly at the hands of some beastkin. No. If he was going to have progeny they were going to have to be strong enough to defend themselves before they flew the nest. He would just keep them with him for a week or so, teach them the basics and give them a few high level monsters before sending them off on their way.

This wonderful plan falls apart once he meets his daughter. Sanctuary, no matter how much he impresses it upon her, doesn't take any interest in her own well being, instead she seems more worried about the lives of his comparable disposable monsters, and yes, even the Bipedal invaders that constantly plague him.
