Cards from Ashes: Card based LitRPG

Description

Cards from Ashes follows Styx as she finds her place in the world, with her core card and a chance to help found a new village she will face the challenges of community, leveling, monsters, and politics. She will be joined by friends, embrace change and losses, and find her personal path to power, as she ascends.

A story focusing on organic feeling growth of a settlement, a girl, and her path in this world.

This is my first ever story, so mistakes are to be expected but all feedback is very welcome and appreciated.

This is a Card based Litrpg, so expect cards, blue boxes, system notifications, and other common themes but with (hopefully) a novel twist on enough of it to be enjoyable and unique.

Updates are as they are written currently, though there is a goal to have that pace picking up life keeps throwing things up, so it will vary week to week.

My favorite type of litrpg is town building.  And my favorite new manifestation of systems is cards.  So that's 2 for 2 on this story.
First the town building.  I like how this one has started.  There is an organic feel to how/why they are starting a town.  It's just an organic part of how the world works and why people would do it is well articulated.  There's no deus ex machina going on yet.  I love crunchy stats and I guess if I had a complaint it's that I want more numbers, but honestly it's just me being me and the story isn't limited by any lack of data.  So I'm really excited by the progression of this town building in how it's being mapped out and foreshadowed.
Next the cards.  This card based system is pretty simple and I mean that in a good way.  It's not yu gi oh type cards, it's more just a card creates your foundation and you can build up that card with experience and seemingly you can bolster that core card by adding additional cards.  I haven't seen anything throwing down cards to battle or anything.  And that works for me.  It's a very clean type of system and I like it. Deal with it.
The MC isn't OP...yet.  They have a cool card that seems to be really valuable but not in a way that makes them God tier...yet.  While I love a good legendary OP type MC, this one strikes me as just a rock solid ability that they will learn and grow with and contribute over time. The system does seem to allow for people to jump tiers over time, but I could be wrong.
grammar is good.  Story is engaging so far and making me want more.  Great job and please continue making chapters.  If you make a Patreon, I'm in.

Obviously, it's early days, but I'm digging this one so far. Likeable character in an interesting situation. The LitRPG elements are a little light in that, to the best of my recollection, the readers don't actually see her gain a single XP in the first 7 chapters. On the other hand, the character at least professes a desire to level; I just wish it were more on camera.
