Description

Su Jing woke up in a cultivation novel—a world dominated by an overpowered female lead.

This female lead had every cheat imaginable: a magical farming space, an ancient bloodline with all-powerful five-element roots, unmatched talent in every skill, and luck that could make even the heavens weep. Blessed and chosen by fate, she was destined to save the world, avenge her tragic past life, and ascend to the pinnacle of cultivation with the unwavering loyalty of many love interests and powerful allies.

And Su Jing?

Su Jing was a simple background character watching the supremacy of this amazing female lead. Waking up with no place to belong to, Su Jing had nothing! No power, no family, not even one intervention in the plot! She was like a blurred figure in the back of the main characters, whose facial details weren't even drawn!

Su Jing could only wish the female lead good luck from a distance, as she had no desire whatsoever to involve herself in her drama.

However, unfortunately, luckwasn't exactly in her favour.

Trying to find a place to live, Su Jing ended up stuck as a servant in a sect doomed to be destroyed by the female lead. Now, with an annoying chatterbox by her side, all she can do is curse the heavens as the main characters of the sect, punished by their masters, are forced to join her in sweeping the floors.

Let's just say her days of boring, ordinary existence were officially over.

disclaimer: English is not my first language!

Slow progress, weak and unwilling protagonist. It may not appeal to everybody.

  • Story got a re-write, its now smother to read, also there are still some hick ups but meh, doesnt hinder the story to be told in an enjoyable way. Id rate the story as a hole at around 4, but give 5 to give it a bit of a boost. :)

Su Jing is not the star of this story. She's an amnesiac girl with low talent for cultivation, just hanging out on the fringes of a classic cultivation tale and trying not to get killed in the process with middling success.
The Pros: I enjoyed the system-less transmigration at the beginning, which puts Su Jing into the story as someone in-universe would understand it. We meet several classic character archetypes like the kind female lead, the worthless but virtuous poor boy, and the arrogant young snot who annoys everyone. It all feels very classic and played straight rather than a quippy western transmigration.
The Cons: it's pretty accurate to say "the story is changing and Su Jing isn't even lifting a finger." So far, she's a passive observer with apparently very little drive to progress herself or impact events. Chapter 13 marks the first time she's aware that she's in a story, so perhaps that will mark a turning point for Su Jing. I hope so.
Interesting premise. Reads like a classic cultivation novel rather than a satire, which is to its credit. So far, Su Jing hasn't come into her own.
