Description

Nexus finds himself in one of the deep caverns of the Sinnoh underground along with a couple trusty mechanoids. Fused with the brain of a 21st century human and the body of a super human cyborg mechanitor, he must forge his own path, as he is now two people merged together in a setting he had only known about in video games.

Can he make it through the gym circuit like he's always dreamed of, or will the insanity of psychic spellcasting, xenogenetics, alien megafauna, rimworld politics, and sentient mechanoids upend his new freedom?

I'm mainly using fanfiction to practice my writing. Also, I do not know much about Pokémon, so I am researching about it as I go along. I usually write in 3rd person, but this time I want to have the liberty to write in 1st person again. Here is a link to what most of the mechanoids I'll be using looks like:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2973169158

So far, I'm quite enjoying the story.  Being a massive fan of both Rimworld (of which I have something over 1.5k hours so far) and Pokemon (Which I'm a massive lore nerd and have played all the mainline games), this is almost like a dream come true!
So far, the story's foundation is quite solid. It strikes a good balance between character development and a touch of world-building, which I find really engaging. Sure, there are moments when things are stated a bit bluntly, but that doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment.
I also appreciate the use of mixed perspectives. It's a nice touch that allows us to get inside the heads of different characters, but I have to admit, it can get a tad confusing at times. Personally, I'd suggest making those perspectives a bit more distinct to avoid any potential confusion.
In terms of grammar, it's generally quite good. There are just a few spots that could use a bit of fine-tuning to make the writing flow even better.
I'm genuinely excited to see where this story is headed in the future. The potential for more character development, world-building, and unexpected twists has me eagerly awaiting the next chapters.
    Keep up the good work!
