Aubrey's life was a whirlwind of stages, spotlights, and soaring music until her final performance didn't take the stage—it took her life. Waking up in the body of a murdered girl outside the gothic metropolis of Mordenstradt, she finds herself with powers that belong in myths and a voice that echoes the rage of the unseen.

Now, as a banshee with fragmented memories of both lives, she entangles herself further in a web of conspiracies to unravel the mystery of her death. But in her pursuit of revenge, will Aubrey lose herself to the power she embraces, or can she carve out her dominion in a world that fears her?...

...Or maybe she just wants to jam, and start a band with a bunch of unhallowed beings like herself!

I am already reading the other 2 Stories from Zanafar and when Zanafar announced this 3rd story i thought i might as well give it a try. NO REGRETS, LOVE THIS!!
In terms of style its very great! Love the different way of how you write this compared to the other 2 stories. The encounters with strangers are funny (for example at the beginning on the graveyard) and Aubrey singing while fighting gives this story its great and unique charm. Not to mention the Steampunk setting!
The Story takes place in a steampunk like world and follows our Maincharacter Aubrey who is an Idol, gets murdered by an unknown person, then gets reborn as a Banshee (its very fitting for an Idol not gonna lie) and now tries to find her murderer while also making her own Band full of unhallowed.
Grammar is also good. Very easy to understand and spelling errors (if there are any) get corrected very quickly.
The Characters are the best part of this story so far tho. We have Aubrey with the revenge and making a Band, the Gargoyle Ceddy who kinda is her butler xD, Thaddy her first band member and more. Love them!
All on all this is a great story and i can definitely recommend this. However you shouldnt only look at reviews. Read it yourself and make your own opinion of it.

I actually really like the story, but every time the mc does crowdwork, i die inside. If not for that i would still be reading and would highly recommend.
The monster music group, the music themed skill system, the blatant disregard for the danger of being a monster music group all works together to make a fun story.

Writing quality is very good overall. No mistakes, characters speak differently based on their personalities, and the concept is very intriguing.
After the first few chapters, I was just completely out of the story for whatever reason. I don't think it helped that the author repeatedly reiterated that it was dark fantasy yet to me it seemed that way only to rapidly transform into very typical light fantasy. To describe the mc in a sentence, I'd say she's a Rockstar on a drug-fuelled bender without the drugs. Obviously I stopped too soon to know if we would see some interesting character development from her, so don't assume my description holds for chapters past what I've read.
I really can't point to anything specifically wrong with this story other then some character meetings feeling contrived. I rarely DNF stories but this is one that I would encourage everyone to check out regardless of my pessimistic review.
