I would say this is a super villain story done right, the MC ain't bloodthirsty one sided violent Villain but instead it's a cool headed pragmatic person who knows what she has to do to help the world and she ain't afraid of getting her hand dirty for It.
Honestly really great, I recommend it 1000%

I loved this so much! The plot is progressing nicely, MC is a cheeky bastard, and I can't wait to see her literal cult grow. The anti-hero vibe is done beautifully and without being the extreme edginess it usually succumbs to and the whole secret identities and being on both sides at once is muahhh. I so look forward to where this goes.
    Keep being awesome mighty Author

I don't read much superhero stories, but I do read lots with villainess protagonists.
It's a bit of a rocky start, at least it was for me since I'm not the best at continuing things if it doesn't immediately grip me. But once the plot starts kicking off and the plans put into action, Sonya definitely becomes one of my favourite villains I've seen written on RR.
Especially because she is able to pull everything off and live a double life with the inability to lie. Which is a power move in itself imo.
I don't know what about this story keeps me in its cluches specifically, the intresting broker power? The characters? Or the way both sides of the hero and villain conflict are basically orchestrated by the same person?
When will Sonya meet her wife in this life? 😔
Maybe I'm the one shaking hands with Sonya, promising to read it all for nothing in return except a story that's a little more intresting than others. But I'm in for the ride and don't plan on leaving soon 😌.
At this point the fic has become a comfort-level fic, so this review is definitely biased lmao. Though I do invite you to at least check it out if it seems interesting. Bonus in that it updates quickly :)
The grammar in chapters usually has a few small mistakes, but the author is pretty decent at correcting them semi-quickly as far as I'm aware :)👍

"Broker" is one of those rare stories that truly stands out on Royal Road, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Here’s why:
    **World-Building**
I love how "Broker" is set during the early days of a powered society. It’s incredibly interesting to see a world where superpowers are just starting to emerge. The author's take on how this world would evolve is both fascinating and believable. I find myself eagerly following how the society changes and how the MC influences its direction.
    **Main Character**
The MC is absolutely captivating. Her powers, similar to AFO from "My Hero Academia," make her incredibly powerful, and she uses her abilities in such smart, strategic ways. She’s confident, even arrogant at times, but it feels earned. Her pragmatism and willingness to do whatever it takes for what she believes is right make her a complex and compelling character.
    **Side Characters**
While the MC’s close allies can be frustrating and sometimes seem to work against her, other side characters like Shark and the detective add a lot to the story. They’re well-developed and bring different dynamics that enrich the narrative.
    **Antagonists**
I’m really intrigued by the hints about the main villain, who hasn’t appeared yet but whose abilities seem perfectly designed to challenge the overpowered MC. The current antagonists are weaker, but they serve their purpose in moving the story forward and highlighting the MC’s growth.
    **Story and Themes**
"Broker" is a supervillain story done right. The MC is not a mindless villain; she’s a cool-headed, pragmatic individual who believes in her mission. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty for what she sees as the greater good. The plot is engaging, with elements of political and economic intrigue, an impending apocalypse, and personal growth for the MC. These layers keep me deeply invested in the story.
    **Conclusion**
In summary, "Broker" has captured my imagination with its unique world-building, compelling main character, an

    This is good.
The grammar is good. Mostly just a few mistaken pronounce.
The Characters are good. Simple or uncomplicated.
The story is good. I like what going on and what will happen.
Style is a little so and so. Basically how the story is told. Can’t really put a name on the problem. But it has to do with the character's interactions plus sometime whats happening and what character are saying is not on point.
-Example - talking about how the MC loves to her lover while it is the MC that needs to hear it and the lover has no context or need to hear it.
Either way. It is minor and smooths out as the story continues.
This is good and I am excited for more!

Loving this so far. It has kept me up most of this week binging through the story.
Gutted I just got to the end of the current chapters. Can't wait to see what's next!
The fact that your starting to blend multiple genres into a single story is interesting.
    Keep up the Great work

Very well written, excellent characters, pretty solid, plotting and pacing, but just not quite for me. It’s a bit too dark and the season two intro is telling me that is only going to accelerate. Glad to have read season one, but that’s the end of the line for me I think.

I gave this one a shot a bit interested after I got bored and dropped a few others earlier in the day. I really enjoyed this story despite numerous issues that make it a bit trickier for me to recommend compared to most stories I would give this high of a rating.
Basically it's trying to Code Geass it up, as crazy things happen and the main character plots to be a billion steps ahead with a completely broken manipulator special power at all times, with some foreshadowing that a bunch of stuff despite their efforts is about to go horribly wrong.
Many of the characters of the world seem to sometimes go with the flow or resist too much, it's very odd how much people just go with the flow of things in this story sometimes, but I'm wondering if the author has another surprise lore reason for that in store there as well.
It's hard to complain about too many issues because some of the things the author is just hiding the ball on some things in the protagonists past that put some additional things into context that felt incorrect or wrong before that. Which goes into one of the positives of this story the author clearly has thought about things and is totally fine not telling us stuff for dozens of chapters until it's a better moment. The timing still feels a bit off and amateurish at times to be expected from a webnovel it's trying and the ideas are consistently quite good.

Let's not lie, the premise and the idea seemed great and it started so well with the first chapter setting up great stakes and enemies.
But after that, you realize this is just another another story to show of a Mary Sue.
Let's talk about main character, she is very beautiful, extremely smart, surrounded by extremely powerful people, also extremely rich and yeah of course always right. Then to all of this, you can add some insane powers (see the spoiler)
    - Capable of copy the power of anyone she touch (even people with power not activated)
    - Use these powers interchangeably (she cannot use one for more than 6 hours at a time, which when you have hundreds of them is not really a problem)
    - Force anyone into any deal with barely any explicit consent (even if it was very loosely agreed or I they didn't know she had this power)
    - Merge powers together to create even stronger powers
    - Give any power permanently to anyone
The only "downside" is that she can't lie and that she need that the client made something for her. So she can have someone works for her for only two month and then give her the power of a goddess.
You wanted hard decisions, desperate situations, good side characters development or anything that looks like the main character will have struggle to solve something ?
Well forget this, so far I've only found twenty or so chapters showing how easily the main character can make anyone submit to her, love her, envy her, and of course adore her.
Let's not even talk about the world-building because if it doesn't directly impact the main character it might as well not exist...

The story promises an exciting story about a woman who regresses through time and becomes a villain to save the world. And a GL subplot, can't forget that part.
What it actually delivers however is a boring walk in the same park you've been to a thousand times already. The protagonist faces no challenges (she is too ridiculously overpowered to), everything is super easy, there is no suspense, her determination to save the world even by becoming a villain made sense, but her reason for actually becoming one did not. She had many obviously better options she didn't take... and the GL subplot was a lie, reminiscing occasionally about her love from her last life doesn't really do anything, where is this person now and why have we gone this long without the protagonist even trying ro find out? Does the author even know what the word 'love' means? Ridiculous.
I don't like it, the premise was great, the potential was there, but the author blew it, this story has no substance
Edit: review was originally written from ch 46. I have read more, it feels like it's only getting worse. I had some hope it'd improve but it hasn't. Season 2 so far reads like a filler, the POV is rarely from the MC anymore, season 2 looks like it's just going to be a school arc for a side character. I should have just dropped this fic on ch 46 when I originally wrote this review. Nothing has improved, some things got worse.
I lowered my rating by half a star, and I don't think I will keep giving this story more chances.
