- MenkRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5An intriguing story to follow. Deadangle truelly manages to make you wonder, will this be the end of the line.
as I am at the end of chapter 8 now I find myself enjoying every bit of it.
deadangle's style fits his setting perfectly. The simple language he uses in dialogues portray actual confersation. Fights, or conflicts rather, are accurately discribed without ruining the speed of the story.
The story is a post-apocolyptic world where society is struggling to maintain itself. The way Deadangle portays this ruined wasteland is truely unique to him though. Using current events as the base which to build on he has created a truely interesting world. He loses points on killing a character too soon in the story (chapter 2). This causes a certain loss of connection I have with the characters, as each can easily be killed. If he would have moved this to e.g. chapter 4 the impact would have been of much greater effect.
The grammar used is excellent, as I have been incompable of finding mistake while reading.
The characters work amazinly with the story. They feel like they struggle for every breath. As mentioned before, however by killing a main character in chapter 2 he creates a certain void between the reader and the characters. It also appears as if all the characters have overlapping personalities, as even their speech patterns overlap.
All in all it is a great read and I do suggest you give it a read. I, for one, am looking forward to reading more.
