Breached Earth (Human Core)
Community Rating
Description
A dungeon core, accidentally transported from its world and stranded on Earth.
Dean, a young Australian man who stumbles across it and has his life changed forever.
With the core now residing inside him, Dean marvels at the amazing abilities he has gained.
He doesn’t have long to adjust to his new circumstances, however.
For the core’s arrival on Earth has set in motion events that threaten the lives of every living thing. And, with even the planet itself at risk, he has been called on to act.
This is a PRE-apocalypse progression fantasy story set in the real world. Contains elements of litRPG.
Constructive criticism, suggestions, and ideas are all welcome! :)
[The dungeon elements are minimal, so if that is your main attraction, maybe give this story a miss :) ]

- reverofRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Actually was just gonna give a rating, but then I thought why not a full review? The story deserves it after all. Anyway to the review
Style: had no problem with it, everything is easy to follow and understand, the writing is engaging and I have no problems with it at all, so that's that.
Story: A dungeon core got sent to earth due to an accident and it joins with a human, giving him abilities to use magic and build dungeons, but he also has to deal with some threats to earth that the core's arrival brought to our world. The events right now are great and they get you thinking about what is going to happen in the future, it has the potential to grow a lot and I'm looking forward to the coming events.
Grammar: saw no problem, I mean I'm not picky about it anyway but even I was able to see that it's well written.
Characters: they are well written and believable. I still didn't face a character that I hated or got me feeling uncomfortable, so that's a win for me. I'm liking a lot of them.
Anyway, that's a simple review, I hope you give the novel a chance and that you would like it. Also a big thank you to the author for his hard work and I hope you keep on with the hard work~ - Forrest AndarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't like 5 star reviews, but I just finished binging through what is available for this story so far and I'm loving it.
I might be tired, but I couldn't come up with any reason for giving less than 5 stars for each category in the advanced review options.
I'm not sure what exactly they mean by style here, so I never know what to put. I enjoy the format of the story, the genre, the way the story has progressed so far. Is that style? :)
I don't remember any instances in the chapters so far where I wished I had the 'suggested edits' option for typos or horrible grammar.
The story so far has been just enough of the familiar tropes that I like in litrpg and just enough new ideas to keep me happy reading.
The main character has made all the decisions I would want to be able to make in their place. I've yet to find myself wanting to shout "WHY?!" for some boneheaded move they made.
I've just clicked the 'favorite' button for this story and I'm looking forward to more.
I need thirteen more words for this to be considered an advanced review. - The One Who ReadRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Man this story ticks things I like nicely, reasonable characters and power up, believable conversations, danger and reward are hand-in-hand. The MC not some prodigy or elite combatant that gung-ho on murdering anything for power. The world building has room to grow but we are still in ch 20-ish so it is understandable. When the world become aware of such threat you (Author) have an entire world of politics as playground to write Sir. SO much potential this stroy has!
And also curious what path Dean will follow? Dark-Knight style, protecting people from shadow or Messiah style as open in public you can watch me doing stuff. Or a bit of both? Like people in upper echelon know his ID but keep it hidden from public so they can counter the ever-imminent danger the Void is ?
I am rooting for you Author, thank you for the story. I hope you all the best! - catbearpenguinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A cracking story about a man and an object stuck deep inside of him. Just your average aussie bloke, living his life when he strikes it lucky. Well balanced power gain so far with limits well set and reasoned out. System seems well planned and interesting what more can you ask for. Except maybe a few more drop bears 🐻.
Great read so far, characters seem well written so far, if a bit early to say for sure definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes. Not over done with the whole im australian thing where they try to drown you with the local lingo.
Grammar seems pretty good , not a grammar boffin though, story flows well and is easy to read.
Like I said earlier characters seems so far to be great early days though as we're only just starting to meet more of the side characters, which im looking forward too. Especially with how well written everything feels to me so far.
Also decent length chapters for those of us on this site who read fast, which really allows you to sink into the story. Just writing this 200 word review has made me appreciate the story even more. - EmmaLeiaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't know about anyone else, but I went from loving dungeon core stories to hating that they were all basically the same story. I’m very leery about picking up new books in that genre for that reason.
So far, this story is a breath of fresh air! This isn’t a story about “kill all the things.” There is are good reasons for the MC to make the decisions he does.
It is worth a read. - RaccoonnoisseurRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story reads as a very involved first time parent showing off their child, the pride and happiness can be felt immediately. And just as with children, it is contagious, unless you're particularly bitter and don't really like other people being happy.
Yes, being a first work the style and characters might feel slightly rough or bland at times, but the beauty of writing is that, in due time we gain experience to make the characters and story balanced giving them a chance to develop personality.
Glad to see the advice from the readers being taken into account, sometimes a comment can remind us of plot devices we forgot, give us new avenues to explore or simply makes us see we are spoiling the ending of the book with the title (bless you Mr. Riordan). Best of all the interaction adds anticipation for every new chapter and hopefully it will enhance the story without overly changing whatever plot was planned from the start. After all, if the story changes to accommodate everyone, is it the author's story still?
The story is enjoyable, delivers what the summary implies, the MC is relatable as an emotional and scatter brained gen Z, and with a logical bookworm shotgun driving and face palming every now and then it gives the story a buddy cop feel on top of the supernatural drama one.
Thanks for sharing this story with us, can't wait to read how it progresses. - Solution GhRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have read a lot of books and I believe this book has the potential to be one of the best so far in terms of content, context progression and keeping the attention of the reader. I hope to keep getting more. Thanks and I hope you give us more and not leave us hanging or stop on the way
- SoulFireMageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This kind of story could have set up a really OP MC - something I enjoy in fact.
He doesn't do this. Rather he constructs a solid story with a methodical progression where there is good reason for each ability gained as well as why the invasion that happens occurs.
With solid mechanics, a steady slower pace than most litrpgs I read, good writing and grammar, this is a good story.
I hear one of the nudges causing a need for the author to take a break is something unfairly dropping a 1 star rating. Whilst these things are subjective, sure, it seems unfair that this story attracted that. There are some stories I know to be well written but would bore me due to plot and pace - my response isn't read and low rate, but move on.
I'll be following this one to see him go the distance and I hope get it on Kindle as it's definitely of that caliber.
Thank you author! - KrymsondaggerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Liked the story, was a good variation of a dungeon core story. Story is more an invasion story than a core story, with an MC who gets some dungeon powers along with normal abilities. Would have loved to see more, too bad it isn't ongoing at the moment. Hope author picks it back up at some point.
- The novel novel readerRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5As I said in the review title, it's amazing for a first attempt, and the author is putting in a lot of effort to improve both the story and the style, Kudos to him.
For the style, it's somewhat plain, not much descriptions and little writing that draws you into the moment, pretty normal for a first attempt so nothing wrong with that.
For the story, it's a bit too early to tell as of chapter 21, but it's looking really solid and promising.
The grammar is great, nothing wrong with it, it's just a bit Aussie. I personally think it adds to the story's charm.
For character. It's still too early to tell, but so far everything seems be believable. Not much in the way of backstories for side characters yet, or intrigue, but that'll probably change as the story continues. Pretty much normal since the story is focused on the fantasy aspects more than anything.
The lore and world building is pretty interesting from what I can make out. especially the lore, it's very creative.
The pacing is slow, but things are always happening so it doesn't feel aimless.
All in all I really appreciate this hidden gem, and I sincerely recommend you give it a go.
