Daily uploads 12:30 PM EST, Long series with an expanding world.
The story is meant to be bite-sized and easily digestible. It is a comedy focused story with some undertones of serious themes as well. I hope everyone enjoys the story as writing this has been extremely beneficial to me as an author.

- deaddarkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is hilarious and shows some elements I think are left out of most action packed adventure fantasy stories, so far we are introduced to the logistics of alchemy and the basics of dungeon building, and I feel that it has a lot of potential to tap into. This is my first review for I usually am like the big guy in the story. I wish the author luck on his endeavors with this motley crew of Bones and his skeletons.
- Flying TomatoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Starting with a score for style I give it a very solid 5 star because it isn't too common to come up on something as easy to read. It feels very comfortable to read although the pacing is slightly too fast I can give that a pass because it feels like it fits the story in a way. It is very easy to read as there aren't too many flowery words or pointless exposition dumps.
For grammar there isn't much to say, my own stories have been critiqued for grammar issues and I'm still improving, however I will note there weren't anything I noticed and nothing took me out of the story.
Story score is where I would take it down half a star if not a full star because of the pacing making the story slightly uncomfortable but I am willing to leave it at 5 for the moment as it is a newer story and see where it goes from here.
Character score I wish could go higher than 5 stars, the main character is one called Eddie, or Bones. He is a former thug turned Skeleton dungeon master and he definitely shows it with his mannerisms and speech creating many funny situations.
Overall good read so far, nothing particularly over the top but I also believe that to be the authors intention? Definitely would recommend and will be following the story moving forward myself. - IHaveManyAliasesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just recently found this story, but it has been great so far!
The characters are unique, with a couple of tropes running throughout (righteous paladin, mischievous demon etc.) that makes it not feel unfamiliar.
It's not uncharted territory. It's just spawning gems in a random mine somewhere.
Words to fill up word limit, word limit should be lowered, etc. - AstatriRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story follows a humorous character named Eddie Malone in creating and upgrading his dungeon it would seem. The story so far has been somewhat fast paced and comical to say the least. As the author states each chapter is something of a bite-sized piece and the undertones of the story have been very lighthearted.
Although I don't recommend it as a primary read I feel very confident in recommending it as a palate cleanser from something more gritty or grimdark to pick up the vibes. Overall a fun little story and I'm interested in seeing where it goes. - Chronos0305Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5So often do people just reuse the same thing over and over. Such is the case with the dungeon stories. Typically a core trying to balance out challenge and reward, or one trying to survive an impossible survival scenario. But this is different. Very rarely do we get a dungeon master story. A story where the Mc isn't a dungeon core, but a person connected to the dungeon. Eddie is a great Mc. While he can be deadly at times to those who invade, he has shown that at times he can be a genuinely caring and good person. And his sense of humor provides some levity. Plus the dungeon system is different. It doesn't necessarily need to rely on solely adventurers to get what is needed to advance. There are other ways, like converting money or unlocking achievements, even raiding rival dungeons. Meaning the dungeon can be made as deadly as possible and still advance. It is not necessarily a training ground for adventurers. And Eddie's accidental purchases make it a very environmentally varied dungeon. My only problem however is lack of monster variety aside from skeletons. I like the undead, but when it comes to dungeon building, I both like and prefer monster variety. I remember Eddie getting excited about the possibility of goblins, but I have yet to see him unlock or summon any. Still, hope he will recruit more outside monsters to provide variety. Like he sees some slimes, thinks they are cute, and decides to bring them back.
- VoidsongRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This is a fun title and the interaction between the MC and the world he finds himself in are a delight to read. The chapters are a consistent length, and the frequency of updates is awesome.
My one complaint is a minor one, and that'd be that the style in the last few chapters (48-50) had a few jarring shifts between describing events from a character's perspective and straight up telling you what happened and what it means, along with a few redundant bits. But really, it was right around Christmas, and it wasn't a big deal anyway. - DarkSparkRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5CHARACTERS:
My favourite bit of this book is the main character Eddie and his eccentric personality. However, after Eddie, I find that my interest in the other characters falls of a cliff. I can see the attempts in making Argenti's backstory compelling, but I find that his role in the book is kind of minimal, and sometimes seems like he only exists to say "Eddie, that is a very smart idea." The other skeletons and the personality Eddie ascribes upon them is very amusing though.
GRAMMAR:
I did not notice or remember any flaws with the grammar, so pretty spot on.
STYLE:
One of my least favourite parts of this is the style as it feels very much more telling rather than showing. I know that just saying this doesn't mean too much, but an example is in Chapter 45, where it says "Helena, [...] her demeanor exuding both strength and gratitude." As a reader, it feels a lot better when the author describes the character's actions that allow us to infer how they are feeling, instead of being directly told. Another example is "Where there had been a formal and slightly tense atmosphere, there was now a sense of warmth and mutual respect." in the same chapter. I personally believe it would be a more compelling story if instead of being told that there was this change, it was conveyed through change in language in the characters dialogue.
STORY:
I love the premise, and the story is quite interesting, especially with how the dungeon management expands, but it also seems like the author forgets about previous things that were written, and things being repeated.
Anyways, the story is creative and intriguing, but I think the execution could use some work. Thanks for the chapters author! - crusaderbondRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Pretty good for what it is but what it is isn't really great. Needs to be done with a greater context length and more human touch, AI can be a great helper but this is a pretty poor implementation of it.
Try using an ingest to feed the last chapter back into the API and write a character bio as a preprompt to keep everyone similar to how they were last chapter. - LamoronRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The first ten(ish) chapters were really very promising. Like five stars promising.
The main character is a complete moron, but his idiot choices leading to positive outcomes is well explained and believable. He's lovable, and you root for him.
Then without explanation the MC becomes a manipulation master, though still with plans that absolutely should not work, but they do work without any explanation now.
The story devolves into a strange blend, with the writer seemingly forgetting about the previous actions of his characters, the world building and economics making no sense, and random shit sprouting and then being forgotten about.
Anyways. I'm off, but the author has promise. I'll put him on my list, so I can follow his next project, once he works out the issues in this one.
