- UmbraicRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall: The story flows well and the characters that are introduced are meaningful. A few grammatical errors here or there, but not enough to ruin the immersion. Jace's change throughout the story was thorough and he had a straightforward path of progression. One of my favorite genres of literature is murderhobo progression fantasy with some character development sprinkled in. (Like Full Murderhobo by Dakota Krout)
Style: Love the way the author writes, it fits my preferences nicely. While there were a few times that the formatting was off, or something similar, the writing style is something that I can get behind.
Story: The story is evenly split between character development, numbers go up, and context. Flows smoothly from topic to topic. There was minimal filler content, and there were some comedic aspects.
Grammar: As mentioned above, there a few grammatical errors here and there, but not enough to ruin the immersion. I think I only noticed three, all of which were not spelling, but word replacement (think autocorrect). The author also used a variety of words, not just "said" or repeated a facial expression.
Character: Jace and Luke go through some good character development, but the other side characters, not so much, with Elizabeth and Tabitha being the only other characters to have some semblence of development.
